"You can't do this!" protested Elai as she was being arrested and apprehended. "This kingdom won't survive without a hero like me!"
"You're right…" Nicholas replied back with coldness and seriousness on his face, "…we won't survive without you."
He then looked at her and her party with seriousness. "But…we can with a new hero."
This stuns Elai and her party.
"What?"
"A new hero?"
"Who?"
Nicholas then nodded, before walking over to Russell and placing his right hand on his left shoulder. "This one will be the new hero."
This shocks Russell a lot, who then responded, "What?!"
The reason why is that Russell had no intentions of becoming a hero.
"Why me?!" he continued.
Nicholas then looked at him with niceness and positivity. "Because you're kind-hearted and nice and likes to help people without a second thought."
He then removed his hand from his shoulder.
Russell was pleased and happy to hear that, but in the inside, he didn't want to be a hero.
Watching this announcement, Elai and her party are horrified and displeased.
"No! Why that low life?"
"He has no magic!"
Russell and Nicholas then looked at them sternly.
"What did you say to him?" Nicholas responded.
"I had magic you know!" Russell added strongly. "And it's like two of them!"
Nicholas took Elai's response as an insult to his friend, so he responded, "Insulting someone that is well-known? That's defamation!"
Russell, meanwhile, said nothing; instead, he became serious and thought, "Man, what were they thinking? First, attempted vandalism on my bus and assault in me, then defamation on me? These guys are so stupid…"
James then was displeased by the Elai party's insult at his Renad friend.
Then, Adrian, Rai, Ria, and Cassius, alongside Taryn, came to the scene in time, only to be shocked by what was going on.
"What the…? Elai-san?!"
"Oh no…"
"What happened here?"
Then, Nicholas looked at them. "These people are trying to vandalize his bus and assault and kill Russell-kun."
Russell then nodded to confirm.
Because of that, Adrian felt even more betrayed by his former party. "No way…"
Seeing that, Azalea and the twin dragon girls tried to comfort him.
As Russell's party and Taryn ran to Russell, Nicholas said to the guards directly, "Now, take them away. They will be in the palace dungeons for what they are trying to do to Russell-kun and Adrian-kun."
His guards did so and took Elai and her party away from the scene.
They will be taken to the royal palace's dungeons to be imprisoned for their "heinous crimes".
Russell now felt at ease by it. "Thank you so much, your highness."
Smiling at him back, Nicholas replied back, "You're welcome. Good thing we arrived here before it's too late."
He then looked at Adrian, who went back to his state of shock and thus needed to be comforted by his female companions.
And then, Russell noticed that as well, and he commented, "Wow, he felt so deeply betrayed, again."
"Yes." Nicholas nodded. "People like the Elai Party don't deserve to be in this country because of their misdeeds."
James and Nathan then nodded in agreement.
"These guys are not amigos," Nathan commented.
After that, all of them went back to their camp for the night. At that time, Nicholas wrote an emergency letter to his father back at the royal palace and sent it via a royal messenger as Russell and the others were resting in their tents. Adrian is now calming down, but he is still shocked by his former party's attempted atrocities on his own friend. Russell, meanwhile, is resting while processing the experience of awakening his second magic in this world. He, after putting the metal door and windshield wiper back on his bus, couldn't believe that he had managed to unlock the second of his Secondary ability. At the same time, Nathan and Azalea moved their camp towards theirs.
