Chapter 125 - Chapter 125 - A Royal Camping Trip

Third person POV

After that, James was stunned and shocked at the same time and felt bad for Russell dying in his previous life at such a young age. "I am sorry for you, my friend."

"Yeah, that's okay, James-san," replied Russell with good positivity. "I had managed to move on and adapt here in this world very well."

"Wow, that's good, Russell. It seemed that you're living a good life here as a bus driver."

"Yes, Russell is very kind and hospitable to everyone, and even adjusts his fares to lower prices if any of his passengers had difficulties in paying the full fares or were disabled physically or mentally," Kelly responded.

"But he can be sensitive to arguments," Rai added with a reminder, "and he wasn't hesitant on lashing out upon being pissed off too much."

Ria then nodded at her twin sister's reminder of a fact about their Renad friend.

"Ah, okay," James replied in understanding their say about Russell.

Not long after, in order for Russell to have an idea about his Primary Novel ability, James demonstrated his Printer ability with a few sheets of paper and printed a sample series of news and other happenings from across the country. James had relied on free journalist adventurers who usually reported about the current happenings from across the Southern Plains and beyond. After printing the sample newspaper with his printer, James picked them up and gave them to Russell. "Here you go, that's how I print my newspapers with my ability."

As Russell and his friends looked at the freshly printed newspapers, James grabbed some sample wedding invitations from a previous client and showed them to Russell and his friends.

"I also accept non-newspaper paper documents like these," he said to them.

Russell and his friends then diverted their attention towards those black-and-white, simple, and Victorian-style wedding invitations and were amazed while being dumbfounded at his ability.

"I made the designs by hand," James explained in response, "but I wanted to make and try new designs, too."

"Wow, amazing…" Russell replied back, before putting the sample newspapers down.

After that, Russell and his friends left the shop with the free sample newspapers as James and his elf apprentice wavered them goodbye. Shortly thereafter, Russell and his group went to a tavern to eat a nice, sit-down meal before going on their next route for the afternoon. When that was done, they went on another route; this time, on a route to Rane Town, Province of Yanela, in the Kingdom of the Zale Valleys. Recently, Russell started expanding his bus services to that country in the northeast of the Kingdom of the Southern Plains. He even planned to extend his expansion to the Zale Valleys' capital, Trapton City. But Russell excluded Batela because it wasn't a nice and welcoming place to venture for the expansion of his transport services. And plus, recently, Prince Nicholas had issued and granted citizenship to Russell, making Russell an official citizen of the Southern Plains. This allows him to travel anywhere outside of the Southern Plains.

After that, at 6:27 p.m., after 2 more routes, Russell and his friends returned to his estate home in Outer District, Fort Right, the Southern Plains. There Russell parked his bus within his estate's property, opened the door, and turned off the engine before he and his friends grabbed their belongings and got off. Shortly after, in his home, Russell and his friends ate dinner, which consisted of food they had bought while at the Zale Valleys. They knew that Azalea and Nathan couldn't make it all the way home, assuming that their quest either took more than a day to complete or that the place of their quest was too far away. But the young bus driver and his dragon friends were okay with that since Azalea and Nathan's quest was important for them. Russell, however, was eager to wait for them to come home so he could share his latest news about Elai and her party.

The next day, while Russell and his friends were eating breakfast, Cassius came to the front gate of their home with a letter, calling for their attention. After some time, Russell, John, and the dragon family were about to go about their day when they saw him. So, all of them went to the front gate, and Cassius handed Russell a royal letter. "This one is for you, Sir Russell."

Russell received it and opened it by unfolding the paper, before reading it.

The letter was a request by Prince Nicholas to be his driver for a royal camping trip today.

The letter also mentioned that Adrian and Taryn will come as well.

Russell was stunned by it, and his dragon friends took a peek at it, only to be surprised by its contents. "Yes, your Highness expected you to come to his palace at 9 o'clock sharp this morning," Cassius said to Russell. "Also, his kitchen staff will prepare the food for the trip, guys. Thank you for your time."

The royal spy then hopped on his horse and left the scene.

Because of this, Russell decided to accept this request and also decided to invite James to come on this camping trip. So, he and his friends left a note at their front door and hopped on Russell's bus, before Russell would turn on his bus's engine and drive the bus out of the estate. Luckily, he got off the bus to close the front gate before hopping on and leaving the district.

Along the way, Russell and his friends stopped at the downtown district in Rossley to pick James up. James, upon being invited by Russell to come, accepted it, leaving his publishing firm and printing shop to his apprentice and some of his partially recruited free adventurers in charge.

But at the same time, Aren and the Elai party are now near the Central Administrative Territory to launch their revenge plan against Russell. And also at the same time, Azalea and Nathan are on their way home from their quest in Ralto Village within the Southern Plains' Territory of Sapaq.
