Chapter 104 - Chapter 104 – Ester's position in reincarnation cycles

Nathan's POV

I was shocked to hear that sad news from my long-time friend.

That woman was her mother, and she passed away?

Man, that was sad because she and Harlow are my first clients of my photo-taking services.

Russell and the others were also shocked at that as well and were sorry for Harlow as well.

"Do you have a father, kid?" Nicholas asked her.

"I am sorry for you," Russell added in giving his condolences for Harlow.

"Yes, and he is back from his job as a sailor," Harlow replied back calmly and with melancholy of grief. "We will be having a funeral this noon."

"We'll come!" I interjected almost immediately.

"You will?" Harlow was surprised to hear that. "You'll support us?"

"Yes, we will, and we'll pay for any funeral expense you and you father would have to pay," Nicholas replied back positively.

Harlow was happy to hear that, and she was grateful for that. So, after I had sent the pack of 5 wolves back to the forest, we went to Harlow's house, which was just near the coast and across the street from the port. There the funeral service was just starting, and we grieved for the poor, young woman. Friends, relatives, old acquaintances, and neighbors and coworkers gathered in the small cottage home near the coast to say their grievances and condolences for Harlow and her father. It said that she died of an illness that was very progressive.

Harlow' father thinks that it was his fault for letting her sick because of his busy job as a sailor in the seas and overseas.

But, me and my friends reassured him that it wasn't his fault.

Then, as the funeral service went on, Prince Nicholas and Russell paid for the service with their money.

Just seeing her dead body laying in a coffin made me cry and grieve for her, for she was a wonderful and kind mother and wife to her family.

Third person POV

Meanwhile, in a void of darkness, Ester was facing a soul in front of him. That soul was the soul of Harlow's recently deceased mother, and the void she and Ester are in is the Hall of Reincarnation Cycle. She was sad that she has to die and leave everyone she loved and cared for.

"Why me?" she asked while devastating. "My daughter is too young, and her father has to return to the seas for work…"

"Don't worry," Ester said to her briefly and calmly, "since you had lived a normal and good life with good morals and deeds, I will reincarnate you back to your world, not as the same person, but as a different one as a family member to your daughter and husband."

The woman was surprised to hear that. "Really? So that means I could continue living with my child in that world?"

Ester then nodded. "Yes, so you could continue living with them as your daughter's older sister and your husband's daughter. Plus, I'll be giving you one type of magic as a bonus for your good deeds."

Because of that, Harlow's mother was happy and happily accepted the offer of being reincarnated back into her world with tears of joy on her eyes, knowing that her life was truly not over. "Thank you…thank you so much…"

And so, Ester reincarnated her back to her world, shrouding her soul with a flash of light as a sign of her new life.
