Chapter 67 - Chapter 67 - Marriage and passing down of things

Third person POV

Later on, Russell looked at the photo Nathan gave him, seeing how good and high-resolute it was. His party and group are around him looking at it with amazement, though the photo was just them on their backs. "Nice, isn't it?" Nathan asked him, wanting to hear his feedback.

Russell then glanced at him. "Yes, it was. The quality is good. Can you adjust its resolution or what with your ability?"

"Yes, I can do that with my ability," Nathan responded back, "as well as other things like brightness and even can zoom in or out and add extra stuff for a personalized photo."

Russell and his group were amazed to hear that.

After that, Nathan expressed to them his desire to get married. "Why?" Adrian asked in confusion.

"How old are you?" Azalea asked.

"I'm now 26 years old as of now," Nathan replied back. "My birthday was just a few days ago. Anyway, I want to get married so I would pass my abilities to a future generation."

"Really?" Russell responded as he put the photo down.

"Yes, in this world, if a Renad person wanted to pass his/her skills, abilities, and expertise to a future generation," Nathan explained, "he/she must marry someone and have kids, thus it would happen."

Upon hearing that, Russell and his group got that, but Azalea started to think and fantasize about having kids with Russell. In her imagination, she was with Russell and 3 kids with them having a good time together as a family. The first kid is a bus driver with ice and lightning magics. The second kid is a lightning magic. The third kid is an ice mage. Azalea and Russell are proud of their kids in that imaginary scenario of hers.

"Man, I want to have kids with Russell-kun…" Azalea thought while smiling and daydreaming about it.

"Um, what are you thinking about?" Russell asked her in confusion upon seeing her like that.

This causes the ice mage to snap out of her daydreaming and reply, "Nothing!"

Russell buys it, but he thinks about having kids in the future so he could pass down his abilities, skills, and expertise to a new generation.

Then, Russell forgot about one thing: does he need to pay for the photo. So, he asked Nathan about it. "Oh, that?" Nathan responded back. "That'll be 5 copper coins for 5 people and 1 copper coin for 1 person. For group photos like 30 people in an event for example, the price would 1 to 5 silver coins. The price increases as the number of people in a photo increase."

Russell and his group were amazed at his price range for his picture-taking services.

"Woah, I only charged my passengers in gold coins," Russell replied back. "I should consider about using metals other than gold for fares."

"Yeah, you should've thought of that, too, amigo," Nathan said.

Russell felt a bit embarrassed by it.

Then, after that, he said to Nathan, "I don't standardize my fares. Instead, I based them on distance and the market of a particular place."

 "Wait, what?" Nathan asked back.

"What I mean is, a particular place has a fluctuating market prices depending on the time and circumstances. So, I used that as one of the factors for my fares. Also, if a passenger is disabled or didn't have enough money to pay for the fare, I would lower the fare or make it free for most cases."

Nathan was amazed at his model for pricing fares.
