"Thank you," Elara gasped, her voice weak. "I thought I was done for."
"You're safe now," Marcus said, helping her to her feet. "But we need to be more careful."
"Watch your step everyone," Zoey instructed, his eyes scanning the ground for more hidden dangers.
"You know this land is full of danger and yet, we need to keep moving," Cassandra urged, her eyes scanning the surrounding forest. "I just hope there's no more danger lay ahead."
As they started walking, the air grew colder, and the fog thickened. Strange noises surrounded them, making it hard to determine what was real and what was just their imagination.
"Look at these markings," Sharon said, pointing to a tree covered in strange symbols. "They seem like warnings."
"Probably," Luna Elara agreed.
They continued cautiously, the forest growing denser and more oppressive. Suddenly, a series of growls echoed through the trees.
