"Would you look at that."

Leo unconsciously grinned as he saw what the reward was. He was now able to wield mana! After he completes the quest that is.

This was an incredible advantage as kids naturally get to wield mana around the age of 8, which also marked adulthood in this world. In some irregularities, however, some awaken them at the age of 7, and some geniuses do it at 6.

The current emperor of the kingdom, King Cornelius Alistair Belthadorre, had unlocked his at the age of 5. If people were to know that he got his at the age of 4, the whole kingdom would be in an uproar, and danger would befall him and his family.

As per every novel, they would either greedily take him for their gain, kill him before he becomes a threat, or curry favor with him as he would be someone great in the future. He wasn't gonna roll the dice and expect the latter, so he would just play it safe and hide it once he gets his mana.

As he was about to start making his way to the forest, he suddenly remembers the incident that happened 4 years ago. His first-ever brush with death would have been certain if not for his maid. Their parents also helped their maid get a job inside the Kingdom with their connections after Leo grew enough to take care of himself. Leo's parents were doing well both financially and socially, so that wasn't a problem.

Now he contemplated his survivability if he were to walk into the forest, not to mention his quest needed a whopping 100% completion rate. "Doesn't that mean I would also need to explore every nook and cranny? I wasn't able to remember much about the forest since I fell asleep 4 years ago."

Not to mention it was 4 years ago! It's not as if Leo could remember everything. "I won't progress if I'm gonna be sitting ducks here, though. But if I were to go in, I'd at least need something with me."

It's not as if a twig could help Leo with the things he could encounter; he would be better off with his fists. While thinking about what he would bring with him to increase his odds of surviving if he were to encounter anything inside the forest, he suddenly remembered that his dad was a part of the military. Yes, he was planning on 'borrowing' some weapons from his father. He was bound to have some!

That is, if he could even get past his father's senses. There were countless times where he would notice him only after he speaks. He would also be absorbed in his training when his father would suddenly appear out of nowhere to correct some of his mistakes.

"Yep. Never mind. They might probably prohibit me from exploring if they caught on to me." Leo thought to himself with a wry smile.

Without much choice, Leo began his march towards the forest so that he could inch his way closer to completing his exploration quest.

Unbeknownst to him, you would see eyes with a mossy green hue observing him near the outskirts of the forest.

As Leo ventured into the dense forest, the sunlight filtered through the canopy above, casting moving patterns of light and shadow on the forest floor. The fresh, earthy scent of damp moss wafted through the air, mingling with the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze. His boots crunched on the carpet of fallen leaves, and the occasional chirping of birds traveled through the air.

As he took a closer look at the forest, it didn't seem as daunting as he had initially recalled 4 years ago. Leo then summoned his quest window.

"Well sh*t. This would take ages!"

"Should I just run around the place so I could finish this faster?" Leo thought to himself, but then he suddenly remembered the giant serpent from 4 years ago.

"I think I should take my time appreciating nature, ahahaha."

A/N: Lol.

Speaking of danger, Leo remembered that he still had 10 Stat Points to freely use.

"Hmm... status."

[Name: Leo Ignacius]

[Race: Human] [?]

[Level: 1] [0/100 Exp]

[Class: —]

[Job: —]

[Health: 20/20] [Mana: —] [Aura: —]

[Strength: 5] [Agility: 6] [Stamina: 5]

[Intelligence: 9] [Dexterity: 7]

[Stat Points: 10]

"I think I'll get tired easily with my 5 stamina... however, I might die before I even get tired with my 6 agility." Leo stressed as he wanted to allocate his Stat Points in a way that would maximize his survivability for this expedition.

"Alright, I've decided." Leo then willed to increase his stamina by 3. Leo then felt changes in his body; it was a rejuvenating feeling. He felt like he could run for miles on end.

"Let's not get drunk on power, the sudden increase in stats is exhilarating, but I need to remember that I have yet to even match an adult's stats."

But then Leo stared at his status like a maniac as he willed. "Yes, 7 stats in agility! MWAHAHAHA!" Leo laughed maniacally as his body ached in pain, his muscles bulged, and it moved here and there as if they were working.

But Leo was prepared as he gritted his teeth. After reading countless novels, he was able to foresee the consequence of dumping a lot of stats in one go. But one mistake he made was that he should have done this before he went inside the forest. The bushes by his side subtly rustled, but that didn't escape his ears.

"I guess I got a bit careless... my body is mixed with pain and pleasure, but whoever this is, as long as it wasn't a giant python, it would fall before me." Leo was confident, not arrogance out of nothing, but with his new agility that broke him from the realms of being a normal human.

As if by intuition, Leo could feel it. He could approximately accelerate from 0 to 5.25 meters in under a second!

A/N: That's instantaneous speed. The average for humans would be around 2. So he would be more than twice as fast compared to normal humans in almost every aspect as agility comprises of reaction time, coordination, body control, etc. Each stat increase would be incredible as he can ignore the limits that humans naturally have.

Suddenly, something leaped out of the bushes with lightning speed, hurtling through the air like a projectile in motion.

As Leo turned, his heart pounded in his chest as his gaze met the cold, glinting steel of a dagger, mere inches from his face.

With the help of his newfound agility, Leo was able to tilt his head to the side in time before he got stabbed in the face.

"Holy sht!! this fckng-" Leo's curses were cut short as he turned around, finally coming face to face with the individual who had attempted to stab him.

"So goblins look like this huh? They're kinda small, just around my height but I'm still taller." Leo's first encounter inside the forest began with our little green menace. It was only smaller than Leo by a small margin and had a dark green hue for its skin. Its eyes had a mossy green hue with torn rags for clothes.

It looked at Leo with greed and almost non-existent intellect. "So you think of me as prey, you little c*nt?"

As if replying to his taunt, the goblin dashed towards Leo with great speed. Leo sneered after observing for a bit and fearlessly dashed as well with even greater speed to confront the goblin.

As the goblin neared, it suddenly leapt from the ground to once again stab him in the face. "What makes you think that'll work when it failed when I wasn't even looking?" Leo then decided to kick horizontally in response, which flew incredibly fast and landed on the goblin's sides.

Leo relished the sensation of his legs hitting the goblin. The goblin was light, perhaps lighter than him which was about 20 kg. Eek The goblin flew and dropped its dagger along the way in pain. This, however, wasn't enough as it stood up after some time.

The goblin looked at Leo in anger and snarled at him. "I guess this is what I get for leaving my strength stat at 5. No matter, at least I can overwhelm him with sheer speed."

Leo thought to himself as he braced for the continuity of their fight.
