Chapter 4 - Kezrar Plants

••••••••••••••••••••••

CONFLAG BIRCH

••••••••••••••••••••••

One of the three trees seen scattered throughout Kezrar. It looks quite similar to a typical Birch tree found on S'eran or earth but is typically adorn with fiery leaves, however, the trunk of the tree appears to glow from within as if burning from the inside out and the top half appears as if snakes of fire live in it. With its core fire spreading across the dead grassy field surrounding it this tree is devoid of all fruits, however, it gives life to the spark nut. Spark nuts are used in both explosives and fire starters a like. The spark nut is harvestable one on the full moon of every 3rd month and is not consumable. Eating a spark nut is def to melt whatever eats it from the inside out as if it were lava leaving nothing but a pool in their wake.

MAGMA WILLOW

•••••••••••••••••••••

The Magma Willow is the second of three trees found on Kezrar and is found mostly around the volcano and rivers of magma that flow across Kezrar. The tree appears to be constantly covered in Magma as it seeps through the core of the tree like sap. The Magma Willow is the only tree on Kezrar which is truly void of life growing no leaves, fruit, or nuts.

•••••••••••••••

SLAGAMOR

•••••••••••••••

The Slagmor is the last tree found on Kezrar and the most valuable. It unlike the other trees on Kezrar is bustling with vibrant foliage, which bangles down around the entire tree. It is also the only tree that grows a fruit called Slag Apples which is known to not only be able to combat the cold of planets like Loties and Zenith but also can instantly negate the effects of both hyperthermia and hypothermia all while healing the body of burns, frostbite, and major injuries. Though Slag Apples have never been used in medicine, however, if one could manage the harsh terrain of Kezrar to harvest them Kezrar could one day be inhabitable.

••••••••••••••••••••••

BLAZE BUTTONS

••••••••••••••••••••••

Blaze Buttons are an extremely toxic spoor that can mostly be found around the base of the volcano and along the lava rivers. They grow mostly on the ground covered in ash and soot and tend to have a colorful top with small white or clear spots on them. They can also be found on the Magma Willows trunk. The ground where they grow also has fire which sprouts out of the ground around them. Each white pustule holds enough poison to make 2 dozen potions, however, the poison is hard to obtain as when popped the pustules expel the poison into the air in a cloud as a defense mechanism.

••••••••••••••••••••••••

CINDER SHROOMS

••••••••••••••••••••••••

Cinder Shrooms are found on Kezrar mostly around Slagmor trees. These mushrooms look the most normal with a dark stem and a light brownish yellow spongy top. The only thing that sets them apart is the clouds of water they seem to emit around them and an almost firefly glow that emits from the underside. While there is not much use for them they are essentially the lifeblood that feeds the Slagmor tree and allow it to fruit. The brighter the Cinder Shrooms fiery glow the fresher the fruit. The rarest thing about Cinder Shrooms, however, is that they are found on not only Kezrar but also Aeriadan.

••••••••••••••••

PYRE BUSH

••••••••••••••••

Pyre Bush is found all over Kezrar and has no known use in medicine, potions, or even cooking, however, it can in a pinch be used as a weapon if you can manage to get to the stem through the spikey grass that grows at the base of it. The bush itself looks like a spiked mallet and is rather hard to break open, however, one would recommend a weapon over it. They range in colors of orange, red, yellow, and brown.

•••••••••

LAVILY

•••••••••

Just like its cousins on other planets the Lavily is a rather beautiful yet dangerous flower, as it has rather toxic pollen. However unlike its cousin the Midnight Lily, Lavilies cannot be grown or even kept as every full moon it germinates releasing clouds of its pollen into the air. While alchemists could use the pollen in poisons as well as a few different paralytic potions it is not recommended when there are other less dangerous ways to achieve the same thing. The aperiance is also very different with Midnight Lillies looking like actual flowers that have a radiant glow to the, while the Lavlies are comprised of fire itself.

••••••••••••••

EMBROSE

••••••••••••••

The Embrose like the Ghost Rose is only found in the most desolate areas of the Kezrar's coastline. It is said to have some of the same qualities as the Ghost Rose in its, Pollen can be used to make antidepressants and the Root can be used to make potions to help with motion sickness and nausea. However unlike the Ghost Rose the Embrose peddles have the restorative healing properties of the G'lotus and its pollen also carries the same pheromonal properties as the Borealis Bloom on top of being able to be used to make antidepressants. Just like its cousin the Ghost Rose the Embrose is rather unique in aperiance with only the edges of the leaves having any color to them at all, while the remainder appears as if there is nothing there. Embrose come in different variations of Red, Orange, and Yellow and often resemble flames tracing the outline of what should be.

•••••••••••••••••••••

THENOL DASIES

•••••••••••••••••••••

Thanol Daisies just like Lumanic Pansies have no real use to them outside of decoration. They are also one of the more rare flowers found on Kezrar. Thenol Dasies appear to be a white dasiy but are engulfed in a flame that burns so bright and clear that it is unseen in light.
