"If my friend was in consensus, I'd avoid them like the plague. I'd outright disown them," he nodded rapidly.
"Ah… I see," Rossweisse drawled, scooting closer to the blonde. He was back to the warm blonde she knew.
Naruto looked around and saw that there were a few houses around. "We've walked a long distance. Let's go back," he said.
They'd walked a long distance. The Gremory mansion wasn't in view anymore. He noticed Rossweisse was taping her knee caps every now and then as they walked back to the mansion.
"You tired?" he queried.
"No, I'm fine," Rossweisse smiled and took a skip to show him she was fine but her landing was sloppy.
Fighting in a war was exhausting. Maybe, all the fatigue had gotten to her. He could even feel phantom pains from the battle with Ashirok himself.
Naruto sighed because what he was about to do was borderline crazy.
His body, mind, and brain fought against his decision but his heart was the only opposition they had. Naruto Uzumaki was a gentleman, well, at least when one managed to dig through all that cold and jerky exterior he had.
"W-what are you doing?" Rossweisse stuttered seeing Naruto kneel in front of her.
"Hop on. I feel guilty. I shouldn't have asked you to come."
"No! No! I'm fine that was my decision. There's nothing wrong with me." Rossweisse flared her hands around.
Utilizing wood style, Naruto pushed her from behind with a log and held on to her thighs to secure her on his back before he stood up with a heave.
Naruto could smell her silver hair as some loose strands fell over his shoulder. Her slim arms were wrapped around his neck and her cheek was almost touching his. Naruto took in a whiff of her hair again, it reminded him of pretty flowers.
Naruto shifted, distributing her weight before he resumed the trek back to his wayward student's house.
"The war must have been hard," Naruto said like he was speaking from experience.
Rossweisse hummed in reply as her cheek brushed against his, a thin curtain of silky silver-white hair separating pale skin from tan skin.
"You're warm," she commented all of a sudden and tightened her arms around his shoulder.
Naruto smelt like ramen. The smell was strong.
"I get that a lot," he replied. His lips curved up a bit, not that Rossweisse could see it.
"Did you know, Senpai,"—Naruto sighed and prepared himself for a lesson again but no amount of preparation could have prepared him for what she was about to say—"You are the first man to give me a piggyback ride."
Naruto's mouth opened a fraction at the fact.
"My father died before I was born and my Mom followed when I was still a child."
At least he had the old man and Iruka give him a piggyback ride sometimes. But the Valkyrie didn't have anyone to do the same for her… He didn't see that coming.
"You kind of remind me of him. It's weird, is it not? I never met him but you remind me of him."
Naruto was looking straight ahead, his hands holding on to the Valkyrie's thighs.
"I bet his back would have been as warm as yours," she yawned, resting her head on the blonde's and willed her eyes shut.
"What's this?" the blonde Uzumaki thought.
Naruto narrowed his eyes and flooded his heart with potent Chakra.
The damn thing was slacking off! One second it was beating fast and the other, it was skipping beats.
His veins and arteries went on a frenzy as they worked together with his heart to pump more blood into his system making his body temperature. warmer.
Naruto's lips made a bubbling sound as he exhaled through his mouth.
"So, did you grow up all alone?" he asked, receiving no reply.
"You did a mighty fine job then."
Certain anatomy was rising and falling behind his back each time she breathed. It was soft, squishy, and perky—
Bad Naruto.
"So, wh—"
Naruto stopped in his tracks when he felt the rhythmic rise and fall of her chest. He turned his eyes sideways and met her peaceful sleeping face. With his face dangerously close to hers, he could feel her breath on his face and a stray strand of her hair tickled his lips.
She looked beautiful and harmless right then.
Ah, the damn heart was working up again. This woman was dangerous. How could his heart keep malfunctioning like that?
Naruto pushed her up and secured her tightly, he almost cursed when her face wrinkled and let out a sigh of relief when it relaxed.
Naruto tore his gaze from her face and set it forward. No looking sideways from now on, just straight ahead.
In a tree, a safe distance away from the couple, a voice from a magic circle behind the stranger's ear, like ear comms, asked what the blonde was currently doing.
"He's- I don't know if I should tell you-" he flinched when the voice on the other end yelled at him
"He's being a ladies' man."
He was a former human after all; ain't nobody snitching a fellow brother when he's with his woman. All he was ordered to do was tail the blonde and report any strange behavior.
Was kissing your woman considered strange? The reincarnated devil didn't think so.

Gentle footsteps were all that echoed the streets of the underworld in the night. It was much colder in the Underworld. The blonde Uzumaki was infusing a tiny amount of fire chakra to keep Rossweisse warm. Naruto rejoiced when he found the Gremory mansion.
He thought he'd got lost on his way back. It took him three hours to find his way back and the Valkyrie slept snugly throughout the entire thing.
Naruto heard hurried footsteps as two Devils came out of the mansion
"S-sensei?"
Issei slapped Kiba with a pack of snacks he held in sheer disbelief. Even Kiba was in the same boat; the same snack was falling out his open mouth.
"Issei-ku—" Akeno went stiff as she laid her eyes on the blonde ninja.
Slowly, the entire peerage stood behind Issei and Kiba, all staring on in shock, standing as stiff as a stone.
