Seeing Jian Yumei's bashful expression, Wang Laishun chuckled.
"Haha, big brother, I understand your concerns. You carry many burdens, don't you? But you also have fervor; you aspire to aid the world and save the people. I believe we will share a common destiny!" Wang Laishun remarked.
"Yes, I will visit Big Brother Wang!" Jian Yumei replied.
"Very well. Remember, the box I brought you has been modified. Its appearance resembles an ordinary qin case, and it has been intentionally weathered to look inconspicuous. Inside, it's specially designed with a compartment where firearms are usually disassembled and stored. You can carry it with you. On the upper level, you can also store items like flutes to divert attention. Even if someone attempts to forcefully open it, they won't discover anything!" Wang Laishun explained.
"I understand. Big Brother Wang, your consideration is truly meticulous!" Jian Yumei remarked.
"Indeed, firearms show no mercy. You must be cautious!" Wang Laishun cautioned.
"Big Brother Wang, as you embark on your military journey, please take care as well! We eagerly anticipate hearing your legendary tales!" Jian Yumei expressed.
"Haha, for individuals like us, what significance does personal safety hold? We're devoted to saving the country and its people! For the revolution, we can sacrifice our lives! Our only wish is for the nation to truly prosper and the people to live in peace and abundance!" Wang Laishun declared.
Jian Yumei gazed at Wang Laishun with boundless admiration.
After Wang Laishun departed, the master looked at Jian Yumei. "Mei'er, I want you to deliver something to someone for me."
"To whom and where?" Jian Yumei inquired.
"He's an extraordinary individual, probably around two hundred years old now. He lives on the other side of this mountain," the master replied.
"Ah, two hundred years old?" Jian Yumei exclaimed.
"No one knows his exact age. Many claim to have seen him looking old since their earliest memories. I know a centenarian practitioner who claims to have seen him when he was young. He said the old gentleman declared himself a hundred years old then, and people accepted it. But now, my acquaintance, the centenarian, is also a hundred, yet the old gentleman still walks among us!" the master explained.
"Excellent! Such an immortal figure. I've been longing to meet him!" Jian Yumei exclaimed.
"Very well, you'll cross this mountain directly ahead. He resides on the mountain behind it. Take this letter with you. You'll understand once you read it. You won't need to carry it, just show it to him when you find him, and he'll receive it," the master instructed.
"Understood!" Jian Yumei typically didn't delve deeply into the master's intentions. If he said the letter wasn't necessary, then it wasn't.
Glancing at the letter marked "Sealed by Master Chen," Jian Yumei noticed the master placing it in his desk drawer. Then the master addressed him, "Off you go. Be careful, and remember, you must meet him no matter what."
"Of course, Master. You can trust me!" Jian Yumei assured, then set out on his journey.
Before leaving, he grabbed an umbrella, but he still forgot many things, as he would later discover.
As Jian Yumei journeyed, the peaks of Mount Zhongnan revealed their breathtaking beauty.
Along the way, clear springs, jagged rocks, and verdant vines beckoned him. Jian Yumei pressed on. At every turn where the water ceased, he sat and watched the clouds billow.
After traversing the mountain paths for a morning, when he reached the back of the mountain, he spotted the village in the distance. Overjoyed, he quickened his pace, realizing he was almost there.
Approaching swiftly, the mountain seemed to shower him with rain. Jian Yumei unfurled his umbrella, thankful for his foresight.
Then, in the distance, Jian Yumei spotted a lady gracefully holding her own umbrella.
As she walked along the mountain path, Jian Yumei stepped aside to let her pass.
However, just as she was about to walk past him, she slipped and began to fall toward the cliff at the side of the road.
Startled, Jian Yumei dashed forward, reaching out to grab her. With a swift motion, he pulled her into his arms and away from the perilous edge, tumbling down the slope with her.
Both unable to maintain their balance, Jian Yumei landed heavily on top of the lady.
Jian Yumei felt the lady's body was incredibly supple; his hand inadvertently pressed against her chest, feeling its softness.
Jian Yumei felt a flutter in his heart. Quickly, he withdrew his hand and stood up.
"Miss, are you alright? Can you stand?" Jian Yumei asked.
The lady appeared to be weak, lying on her side, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Jian Yumei estimated her age to be around seventeen or eighteen, with an oval face, fair complexion, and bright, watery eyes.
Jian Yumei felt somewhat embarrassed.
"Miss, that was unintentional. I only wished to save you, but I didn't expect..." Jian Yumei trailed off, feeling embarrassed.
"I don't blame you. You saved me, but I'm a girl. I can't help feeling shy!" the lady blushed.
"I apologize. I wasn't careful enough," Jian Yumei also blushed. In truth, he didn't want the sensation of her softness to linger on his hand for too long.
Suddenly, the lady cried out in pain.
Though her voice was melodious, it conveyed agony. Jian Yumei couldn't bear it.
"Miss, are you hurt? Does it hurt a lot?" Jian Yumei inquired.
"You, you pressed me too hard. Where did you press?" the lady said.
"I, I accidentally pressed on your chest. Are you alright?" Jian Yumei felt anxious.
"It hurts here, deep inside. I wonder if I broke a bone!" the lady said.
"Ah, if a bone is broken, it must be treated immediately!" Jian Yumei grew worried.
"What, what will happen if it's not treated?" the lady asked.
"If left untreated, the bone will misalign. It could be life-threatening or lead to disability!" Jian Yumei explained.
"You, you! If I die, I won't let you off even in the afterlife!" the lady exclaimed.
"Well, let me check if it's really broken. I need to see!" Jian Yumei said.
"No, that's a private area. My mother said not to show or let others touch it easily, especially by strange men! If you touch me, how can I get married in the future?" the lady whispered shyly.
"But your life is at stake. How about this, after I check you, you can touch my chest in return, and we'll call it even!" Jian Yumei urged.
"You, you've already touched me. If I touch you back, can I touch back what was taken?" The lady whispered softly, blushing.
"What
about one minus one equals zero? I don't understand!" Jian Yumei felt dizzy. Ever since his hand touched the lady's soft chest, he had been feeling dizzy.
