THE SECTOR UNIT. PLANET: GALAXIA. YEAR: 2120.
Stella's confusion was evident as she stared at Terry. "Did he really do it?" she asked incredulously. Terry nodded, his attention fixed on the hologram display before them.
"It seems so. He decided to go finally but the reason why he chose to go alone is unknown.
Our data indicates that they're targeting the energy core beneath that bank. The question is, how did they find out about it?" Both Terry and Stella were stationed at the sector unit in Galaxia, an artificial planet orbiting Earth, wearing their tech suits as they monitored the unfolding events.
The sector unit buzzed with activity, each person focused on their holographic display screens. "Do we have any information on these individuals? You mentioned gathering some data on their recent activities," Stella inquired.Ah, I'm glad you asked," Terry said, presenting a tablet displaying images in it were the pictures of the dead izigans victims
"These individuals appear to be wielding some unknown weapon. They've been targeting our kind for sometime, stealing cosmic energies, particularly from children and unfortunate adults. They operate as a secretive organization, and their weaponry remains a mystery to us.
But for now, we'll have to trust Cole on this mission. It's risky, but with his expertise in dimensional manipulation, maybe this is where we'll see his true strength shine." Stella nodded thoughtfully.
"Let's hope so. Cole is ranked at Planetary Phase Three; he should be up to the task. Let's just hope lord Orion and the council unit doesn't find out about this.
Patch me through to him. I need to ensure he doesn't make any rash decisions. Cole can be unpredictable at times."
In the bustling Bank of Spain in Madrid, on the planet Earth, a squabble broke out between two young brothers, Little John and Little Dan, over a toy. Little John wrestled it from his brother's grasp, sending it tumbling towards Cole, who was approaching them. Cole deliberately placed his foot on the toy as the boys approached him.
"Hey, give that back! It's not yours," Little John demanded, glaring up at Cole.
Cole smiled down at him, crouching to his level. "Didn't your mom teach you to say 'please'? Say 'please,' and the toy is yours."
"What if I don't want to say 'please'? You can't do anything to me. There are lots of people in this bank. They'll get you if you touch me," Little John retorted defiantly, meeting Cole's gaze head-on.
Hey, please don't listen to him, he's just joking," Little Dan pleaded with Cole. But Cole's iris began glowing red, casting Little John into a trance-like state. Unaware of Cole's departure, Little John remained frozen until he collapsed to the ground.
"John? John? Are you okay?" Dan shook his brother, concern etched on his face. "What happened?"
As John regained consciousness, Dan cautioned him, "You were with some weird guy. You shouldn't mess around with strangers, Mom said, especially Izigans. Here, take the toy since you wanted it so bad."
"No, you can have it. I don't want your toy anymore. Toys are for kids," John muttered.
"Toys are for kids? What does he mean by that?" Dan wondered aloud.
Meanwhile, the bank buzzed with activity, its attendants focused on their duties, unaware of the impending danger. Cole activated his extra vision, his red iris scanning the surroundings, observing the arena.
Somewhere within the bank, two figures moved stealthily along a path toward the core room, using technology to evade detection by the security cameras. As they approached an iron gate, they spotted two individuals, both Izigans, standing nearby wearing black tech suits.
"Do you hear something?" one of them asked, peering at the gate.
"No, I don't hear anything. Are you seeing things now, Ben?" replied Will.
"I'm serious, man. Look carefully. Aren't you forgetting you're an Izigan?" Ben insisted. As a Scarlet Izigan, he possessed a heightened sense of detecting anomalies. Peering closely, he discerned movement ahead and swiftly launched an attack, his hand enveloped in a pink cosmic energy.
But for Will, it seemed as if Ben was attacking thin air, as there was nothing visible in front of him. Suddenly, one of the figures turned and aimed a weapon at Ben. With a deafening blast, Ben was thrown against the wall, his body shaking as if being drained of energy, pinned to the roof.
As Will attempted to engage in the fight, the atmosphere crackled with tension as he prepared to unleash his own cosmic technique. But before he could act, a sudden blow to his head rendered him unconscious. Soon, the invisible assailants materialized, one towering over Will with a menacing weapon resembling a large-mouthed gun. With a deadly suction, they drained Will of his cosmic energy, leaving him lifeless.
At the scene, three figures grappled with the metal gate blocking their path. "These aren't just any metal. We can't cut through these," remarked the female among them.
"The gate uses CV codes. I can hack into it. Give me some time; it won't take long," one of them replied, retrieving a machine and screen to plug into the gate's interface to hack the passcodes.
Meanwhile, Stella communicated with Cole through the air pods. "Cole, I need you to update me on the situation. Can you determine the number of assailants in the bank right now? If it's too overwhelming, we'll need to send in reinforcements."
First, I thought I'd be speaking with Terry, not Stella. And second, I don't need backup. I can handle this on my own. There are exactly sixteen of them in the bank right now, and they all have their weapons," Cole asserted firmly through the air pods.
"Cole, you don't understand what these people are planning and what they're capable of. There's no way you can take down sixteen armed assailants alone," Stella insisted.
"You underestimate me, Stella. There's one thing you don't know about me, and that's what I'm capable of. I'll let them play their game," Cole replied with a confident smile as he observed the suspicious movements of the would-be attackers.
Suddenly, one of the assailants sprang into action, holding two guns and commanding everyone to get on the ground. The terrified crowd complied, except for Cole who still stood till one of them with them came to him. "Hey, can't you hear me? I said get down on the floor!" he shouted, pointing a gun at Cole. Hey can't you hear, "bajar Al Piso" the man said in Spanish.
With a determined expression, Cole uttered, "Construct Reality, merge in reality: Flaming palace," his eyes ablaze with red energy. Instantly, reality tore from where he was as the entire bank was engulfed in huge red flames.
