Chereads / Ash's Fall / Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

In twisted souls, a darkness reigns

A wickedness that knows no bounds, no pains

No glimmer of good, no spark of light

Only malevolence, a endless night

Their hearts are black, their minds astray

No empathy, no love, no way

They revel in harm, in pain and fear

Leaving destruction, year by year

No remorse, no guilt, no shame

Just a void, a hollow, wicked game

They prey on innocence, on pure and kind

Leaving ruin, a trail of mind

No redemption, no chance to change

Their evil nature, a forever range

No hope of good, no glimmer of light

Only darkness, a wicked delight

Their existence, a blight on humanity

A cancer that spreads, a calamity

No cure, no solution, no escape

From the evil that they create and shape

So let us beware, let us be aware

Of those who bring only darkness and despair

And let us stand, against their wicked might

For the sake of what's good.

Thomas walked back to Ash's room, this time without an escort with a myriad of thoughts going through his head.

His earlier anger at one of the council man was still there, but at the moment the thought of the world as they know it ending just filled his thoughts.

What was he to tell his brother in arms?

How was he to explain everything to young master Ash?

Thinking of everything, Thomas head ached like never before

'My lord, what am I to do in a time like this?'

Quietly entering Ash's room, Thomas rested his head kn his arm, deciding to face things as they came to him one after the other, with the first thing on the agenda being the well being of Ash.

Else where, a fat man in a big green suit sat in an office chair, laughing out loud like a mad man. From his unchecked laughter, his triple chin jiggled in a disgusting manner, while his tiny eyes squinted in joy

'finally!' he thought 'that disgusting Jack frost is gone'

Remembering the way the frost guard retold the story, he couldn't help but feel unimaginable joy and pleasure.

'Too bad the girl died with him, she would have been a very good toy' as he drooled at the imagination of her body a knock broke his line of thoughts

"Lord carnifex, the shadow guards are waiting for your orders" a female voice called out, her voice devoid of emotion.

Hearing the emotionless voice, lord carnifex couldn't help but regret that society was going to change forever. Now it was going to be harder to get a new secretary who he could rape and brainwash. His current secretary was already far gone as she had lost her emotions.

'The bright side, she still has a pussy' he thought as a nasty grin crawled onto his face.

"Let them in"

The door opened and a group of five in black stealth gear walked and stood in a straight line awaiting orders.

"I need you guys to get rid of someone, a thorn on my side if you will" an evil grin plastered on his face.

Thomas watched over Ash carefully, as he planned out how he was going to protect him during these trying times.

It had been three days since the incident and revelation and while waiting for Ash to wake up, he had already explained the situation to the rest of the frost guards. Now it was just left to them how they wanted to handle that information.

*Sigh*

These last few days had been the most stressful days of his life, as everything in life just seemed to have no balance.

'i just need one thing to go to plan' he thought

Ash's situation seemed to have surprised the doctor, as he was expected to have woken up after a sleeping for some hour's. Instead, he had been asleep for three while days.

The doctor believes that the incident had given him some kind of mental trauma, as all his vital signs were okay.

When asked when Ash was going to wake up, the doctor only said that I fully depended on Ash himself, before heading out.

Feeling frustrated and tired, the sound of the door quietly opening made him alert.

Thomas stood vigilant, his eyes fixed on the young master Ash, who lay motionless in his slumber. The soft beeps of the life-support machines and the silence in the room created a eerie silence.

Suddenly, Thomas's trained instincts kicked in as he sensed a presence. He drew his expandable baton from his suit, his gaze scanning the room.

A figure in a black tactical suit emerged, their movements swift and deadly as they charged towards him. Thomas who was now slouch, also charged forward, his baton extending with a snap.

The attacker drew a karambit knife, its curved blade glinting in the dim light as it's edge swiped towards Thomas's throat.

Leaning back a bit, Thomas dodged the attacker's initial strike, his agility showing as he quickly countered with a swift baton strike, aiming for the attacker's shoulder.

The attacker although shocked used his training and experience to blocked the blow, but Thomas quickly followed up with a series of rapid-fire punches, each one aimed at a different pressure point.

The attacker stumbled back, momentarily stunned, and Thomas took advantage of the opening. He delivered a brutal headbutt, striking the attacker's forehead with precision. The attacker crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

Still feeling threatened, Thomas quickly scooped up Ash and made a break for the exit before coming face to face with four more assassins.

Thomas knowing he couldn't take them all on alone, he weighed his options. He could either drop Ash and escape alone, or fight with all he had.

A smile broke out on his face as he thought 'was that really a choice'.

The assassins closed in, their knives glinting in the dim light.

Thomas quickly dropped Ash, before sending aswift kick to the stomach of the first assasin, closely followed by a baton strike to the back of the neck ending his life.

The second assassin taking advantage of Thomas momentary distraction aimed a slash at Thomas's chest, a grin on his covered face, but was quickly left surprised as his dagger was met with air.

A quick backstep had allowed the dagger to harmlessly pass by. Taking advantage of the assassination flustered stance,Thomas launched himself forward, sending a series of quick jabs to the attacker's face, knocking him out.

The third assassin proved to be the most skilled, using a combination of knife and martial arts moves to keep Thomas at bay.

But Thomas was a seasoned fighter, and he quickly adapted to the attacker's style. He used a clever upper body feint to the left luring the attacker into leaving his right side unguarded, before releasing a perfectly executed high kick to the neck .

*Plop*

Like a doll whose strings were cut, the assasin dropped to the ground dead.

The final assassin whk was also the largest of the group, a hulking figure with a cruel grin on his face walked slowly towards Thomas.

Thomas knew he had to end the fight quickly, before the assassin's size and strength became a problem. So wasting no time,he aimed a precise baton strike at the attacker's knee, with a loud crack. Before ethe assasin could even scream, Thomas delivered a flying knee to his throat, effectively removing a life from the world.

As the room regained it's peace and quiet, Thomas looked down at Ash, still unconscious, and knew he had to get him to safety.

The sound of hurried footsteps could be heard as frost household guards flooded into the room, the sound of combat drawing their attention.

Seeing the dead bodies on the ground, they immediately became incensed and cautious, as they each took guard positions around Ash and Thomas.

As Thomas was left panting, his brain raced for answers

'who would want Ash dead?' he thought, when his was suddenly reminded of that revolting laughter he heard a few days ago in the council room

Ceasing his pants, Thomas suddenly felt a sense of urgency.

Facing his fellow guards, he suddenly declared

"We have to get out of here!"
