Chapter 46 - Chapter 1:D rank mission's suck!

It had been two long weeks since Team 7 officially came together. At first, they were brimming with excitement, eagerly anticipating the thrill of real ninja missions. Naruko and Hitomi couldn't wait to face dangerous bandits, protect important clients, or even take down rogue ninjas. Yuto was also excited as he thought that team 7 alone could take down a group of chunins and let's not forget about kakashi. So he thought that they will get more challenging mission's like atleast a C rank. However, reality hit team 7 hard when they were introduced to the world of D-rank missions.

Naruko groaned loudly as the trio trudged back to the Hokage's office, Tora the cat squirming in her arms. "I swear if I have to catch this stupid cat one more time, I'm gonna turn it into a fur rug!" she muttered angrily, her grip tightening around the unfortunate feline.

Hitomi, walking beside her, sighed deeply. "I didn't train all these years to be chasing after runaway pets," she said, her voice filled with disdain. 'This is such a waste of time... I could be improving my Sharingan,' she thought, feeling the frustration of being reduced to village errands.

Yuto, who was walking slightly ahead, turned around with a sympathetic smile. "I guess this is all part of being a Genin," he said, trying to sound optimistic. "Besides, it's not so bad. We're getting paid for this, right?" But even he couldn't hide the disappointment in his voice. 'I can't believe all that training was just for babysitting and cleaning chores... This isn't what I imagined when I dreamt of becoming a ninja. Where are all the mission's that can help train my fighting skills. Do i really have to wait until who knows when the wave mission comes.' he thought.

Kakashi was not with them as he was sent by the hokage to do an important work. But before leaving he gave the team a mission to complete 10 D rank mission's. The trio still remember his laugh as he disappeared from their view. Yuto had to hold Naruko and Hitomi

Who wanted to cause havoc on the training ground. He doesn't know if the damage done to it will be taken from their mission payment or not so he wasn't risking it.

As they reached the Hokage's office, Naruko practically burst through the door. "Old man Hokage! We're done with the mission!" she announced loudly, dropping Tora on the floor, much to the dismay of the cat's owner.

The Third Hokage looked up from his paperwork, a small smile tugging at his lips as he watched the young ninja team. "Well done, Team 7," he said, taking a puff from his pipe. "You're becoming quite efficient at these D-rank missions."

"Efficient? More like bored out of our minds," Naruko complained, crossing her arms. "When do we get to do real missions, like C-rank ones?"

The Hokage chuckled softly. "Patience, Naruko. These D-rank missions are meant to teach you the value of hard work and discipline. They help build teamwork and understanding."

Hitomi's eyes narrowed, clearly unimpressed by the explanation. 'This is just busywork... We're ready for something more challenging,' she thought, but she stayed silent, not wanting to disrespect the Hokage.

Yuto stepped forward, trying to be the voice of reason. "We understand, Hokage-sama, but we're hoping for a mission where we can actually use our skills," he said politely.

The Third Hokage stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Hmm, I'll see what I can do," he said, before handing them their mission payment. "But remember, every mission, no matter how small, is important to the village."

Naruko huffed, but Yuto gave her a quick nudge, signaling her to stay quiet. "Fine, fine… I get it," she grumbled, but there was still fire in her eyes.

As they left the Hokage's office, Hitomi turned to the others. "We seriously need to convince Kakashi-sensei to get us a real mission," she said with determination.

Yuto nodded. "Yeah, I think we've proven we can handle something tougher. Maybe we just need to be more... persuasive." Yuto thought about some things from the anime that could be used to make Kakashi give them more challenging mission's.

Naruko's eyes lit up with mischief. "Oh, I have just the plan!" she said, already scheming on how to corner their lazy sensei into getting them what they wanted.

The trio headed off, ready to find their elusive teacher who should be back by now, unaware that their wish for more excitement was about to be granted in a way they never expected.

The scene shifted to the entrance gates of Konoha, where two Chunin guards stood on duty, casually observing the steady flow of people coming in and out of the village.

"Another quiet day, huh?" one of the guards, Izumo, remarked, yawning as he leaned against the gate post.

"Yeah, let's hope it stays that way," replied his partner, Kotetsu, as he adjusted the bandage wrapped around his nose.

Just then, their attention was drawn to an old man approaching the gate. He was hunched over, wearing a worn-out cloak that seemed to have seen better days. His hair was gray and scraggly, and he walked with the aid of a wooden cane, every step seeming like a laborious effort.

Izumo and Kotetsu straightened up, stepping forward to intercept the elderly man. "Halt! State your business," Kotetsu said in a firm but polite tone.

The old man gave a tired smile, pulling out a rolled-up document from his cloak. "My name is Tazuna," he said, handing over the paper. "I'm a master bridge builder, and I've come to request assistance from Konoha for a mission."

Izumo took the document, quickly skimming through the details. "Hmm, seems like everything checks out," he muttered to himself before looking back at the old man. "And where are you coming from, sir?"

"The Land of Waves," Tazuna replied.

Both Chunin exchanged a quick glance. 'The Land of Waves? That's quite a distance... What kind of trouble could they be facing?' Izumo thought, his curiosity piqued.

"Alright, Tazuna-san, head over to the Hokage's office and submit your request," Kotetsu instructed, pointing towards the village's center. "Someone will assist you there."

Tazuna nodded gratefully. "Thank you, young men." he said, making his way deeper into the village.

As Tazuna disappeared into the crowd, Kotetsu turned to Izumo with a raised eyebrow. "I've got a feeling this isn't going to be just another routine mission."

Izumo shrugged, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "Let's just hope we don't end up getting dragged into it."

Little did they know, this mission would set the stage for Team 7's first real adventure beyond the safety of the village walls.
