" I don't believe your mother doesn't know where Kyle is. You put four of those maniacs out of commission, what are they called again? Ten something...? "Fuck it, I do not want to think about it," Soo-Hyun continues.
Lara was quiet but her heart was in turmoil. She had mixed feelings about Kyle, knowing deep down that she loved her deeply. In a certain way she is also afraid of the consequences comes with falling in love,
She initially assumed Kyle had fled from her, but when they met again, she began to question her disappearance, and all she needs now is answers, but Kyle is nowhere to be found, and her own mother is involved in some way.
" If I were to go up against my mother one day, and if I'll make an enemy of everyone in this world would you stood by my side? " Lara asked in a calm manner.
Soo-Hyun sighed as she gazed on the white ceiling, feeling a heaviness in her heart that makes her uncomfortable. Previously, she would have answered quickly because she was indifferent to the matter of life and death, but things have changed now.
A slander figure with the brightest smile appeared in her mind; even now, she could feel the essence of every curve on her body, so how was she willingly to leave her? She was a little reluctant, but that was just it.

Lara chuckled and grabbed a glass of whiskey, gulping it all at once, "What if I asked you to kill your woman, can you do that for me?"
Soo-Hyun trembled as she realized Lara was planning something significant that could potentially endanger their lives. Despite her reluctance to admit it, she was aware of her own hesitation. And the thought of it make her hate herself for she feel like she had betrayed her friend's trust.
" I can die for you " Soo-Hyun spoked. It was quiet for a while before she added. " I owe this life of mine to you "
" But...If I were to kill my lover one day , I'll just die with her, first it will be a compensation for your kindness all these years and my redemption to her and her trust that I broke ".
Lara wasn't very pleased but in some ways she could understand. " Why? " She asked coldly.
" Am not a romantic type to thoughtlessly die together with someone because of love but if I kill my lover cold-blooded without any remorse then I would have become a monster, rather than living like that death if much better ".
Lara thought if for a second and frowned, if you looked at it , she had put Kyle in life and death situation several times, she ruined her life , if that wasn't a murder then what it was?... was she a monster ?
Just the thought of it was making her feel awful and unworthy of love.
" I have to stop my mother, prepare our fighters, if my mother has her hands on it then I might have known the place were she could have sent her" Lara spoke in realization, only if she had thought of it sooner maybe things would have been different by now.
Why didn't she thought of it earlier? Could it be because she was in denial of her mother's cruelty?. Lara clenched her fist so hard that her palm turn white, she didn't want to admit it that her negligence was what hurt Kyle the most.
She then sat down and gulped a whole glass of water to swallow the bitterness in her mouth when the phone suddenly rang. Lara talked for like three minutes before she hung up angrily.
" What is it? " Soo-hyun asked. She was curious to who can make her boss this fired up but she was even more eager to know what exactly the other part said to her.
Lara threw a glass on the wall in rage, " It pisses me off when I talk to someone and they are like, Okay, yeah, No, Wow! Like...girrr..fuck you, are we not screwing right now, bitch , It's a conversation we are having, talk like a person, will you? "
" Who was it? " Soo-Hyun asked again.
Lara looked at her and ignored her question, it was something she had to do by herself and she wasn't ready to get her friend get involved. " You just stay here and take care of my business ".
" It can't be that you are going back to that place? "
" I have to, my mother must have done something to kyle, I wanted to guess but until I see it with my own eyes am not going to make assumptions ". Lara spoke in a cold tone.
She then looked at the files piled up on her desk and grabbed the golden one. She opened the first page and saw the name ONE , with her picture on it.
When she was young Lara use to be uncontrollable little brat , It was then when she was sent to the fortress and stayed there for two years. But was then sent back because they couldn't contain her, upon her stay there she grabbed the title of ONE , but was never sent on a mission because unlike others she wasn't a sacrificial lamb.
Her mother was one of the VIP's and a core member of the fortress, so for her it was nothing but a playground however for someone as naive as Kyle that place was hell, or at least that is what she thought.
" How is the progress with the Mornachs? " Lara asked.
Soo-Hyun smiled and handed her a large black file. " I especially came here to give you a good news , Ayra helped me from inside and we were able to collect the enough evidences, We will be able to destroy them this time ". She assured her.
However on the other hand Lara didn't think that it will be that easy, plus it was sus the was Ayra was able do things smoothly. " Are you sure we can trust her ? "
" She won't betray me "
Lara sighed in helplessness, ' Love fools ' she understands better than anyone however she couldn't shake off the feelings that things were going a way too smoothly, maybe it's true that Ayra won't betray them but what if they walk right into the trap?.
Mornachs weren't fools after all.
" No matter what you should succeed, even if it cost your life " Lara insist.
Soo-Hyun knew that it was already the point of no return, they are already in escape room it's either solve the puzzle or die. " I'll succeed at all cost ".
Soo-Hyun left and Lara nodded at her before she went back to finish up her paper work since she won't be coming to work for sometime. She was so into her work that she didn't notice that time was running and it almost twelve in the midnight.
Most of the lights were off except for the one at the highest floor, Lara wrapped up her stuffs and took her coat as she headed out.
Since the elevator was exclusively only for her she didn't have to wait and just opened and click the B2 which is were she packed her Maserati, she usually loves big cars and drives these sports car from time to time,
In her head there was so much going on, about her mother and her lover, she doesn't real know what exactly her mother want and why wouldn't Kyle ask her for help , was she not reliable?
Just the thought of it make her so angry. She was so dwelling in her rage that she didn't notice the bugs lurking.
