He had been hesitant when Desmond first came to the office, but now... now he couldn't shake the feeling that there was an opportunity here. An opportunity to get in early, to make something of this.
"If you're that sure," Richard said, his voice calm and measured, "then I'll be your first investor. I'm ready to believe in that vision with my money," Richard said with a smile smile.
Desmond's eyes widened in surprise, as if he hadn't expected anyone to actually agree. "You will?"
Richard smiled. "Yes. I'll take the risk. If it's as good as you say, it's worth a shot."
Desmond let out a breath, relief washing over his features. For the first time in weeks, hope flickered in his eyes. "Thank you. You won't regret it, I promise."
Richard nodded. "Get the papers ready, and we'll sign the documents in two days."
Desmond extended his hand, and Richard shook it firmly. "You've made the right choice, Richard. This is going to be big."
