"You're not still fighting with your mom about me, are you?" she asked, her grip on his arm tightening and Liam merely swallowed.
Liam's silence was all the confirmation she needed. Fiona's heart went out to him, understanding the weight of his struggles. She knew how heartbreaking it could be if she were to have a misunderstanding with her mother and how hard it could be to defy one's mother.
"Well, it's not just about you working at the company," Liam said, looking at her and she nodded expectantly.
"So, what else are you fighting with her about?" she asked curiously and Liam sighed, deciding to tell her about everything.
"I went to seek her approval to date you," he said and Fiona's heart skipped a beat, surprised by his statement.
