"I was only trying to get on your nerves, Fiona. Been a while I saw this side of you," he said and she rolled her eyes. "I actually didn't know what to get you but I figured an ice cream to ease your sweet tooth and my mom's favorite chocolate would do," he said and she rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. So, how was your date or hang out with Cora as you call it, go?" Fiona asked, trying to sound casual.
Liam shrugged. "It was okay, I guess. Not exactly what I expected."
Fiona raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "What did you expect?"
Liam hesitated, his eyes darting around the room before landing on hers. "Honestly? I wasn't expecting anything seeing as we only went there just to humor my mom but then even you and I weren't exactly dating yet I enjoyed our date," he said, truthfully and Fiona's heart skipped a beat.
"Our date?" she asked, taken aback. She would never have expected to hear that.
