While Fiona was busy wondering why Cora seemed to be acting strange, Liam walked out of his office to meet her.
"Uhm... about Cora, I'm... sorry," Liam said, once he got to her, and Fiona shook her head, her eyes narrowed in suspicion, unable to shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in the pit of her stomach at the way Cora spoke to her.
"It's nothing," Fiona said, her voice dismissive. "Although I'm curious about something else," she added, her curiosity raw and unmistakable.
Liam's eyes locked onto hers, his expression cautious. "What is it?" he asked, his voice low and serious.
Fiona's eyes never left his, her gaze piercing. "She mentioned something about you both being compromised, I know it's not in my place to ask, but I can't help but believe it has something to do with me. So, I want to know, what did she mean?" she asked, her voice direct and assertive.
