Chapter 11 - How much?

So she had heard him the first time. As much as his comment upset Fiona, she tried to keep her temper under control. She had caused it.

Maybe if she hadn't kissed him or let him kiss her the way he did earlier that day, he would have known they weren't escorts, and having sex with their clients wasn't part of their job descriptions.

"I'm sorry Mr. Parker but you have it all wrong. We don't have sex with our clients. It's against protocols," she explained and Liam nodded.

"No one would know we did it, right? I won't tell and surely you won't," he said and Fiona looked at him incredulously.

"I guess you're drunk," she said flatly and he nodded and stood up.

He walked closer to her and whispered to her ears, causing goosebumps to sprout all over her body. "Yes, I'm drunk and you're the only one that can sober me up right now. So, how much?" he asked and Fiona gave him a confused look.

What was he asking? How much what? Did she tell him she was selling anything to him? She mused as her brows drew together.

"How much? How much for what?" she asked and he ran his finger down her cheek, making it hard for her to concentrate.

"How much would it cost me to have my cock buried inside you....." before he could finish, a hot-sounding slap landed on his face, causing him to turn to the side.

After he recovered from the unexpected slap, he turned to look at Fiona whose eyes were grazing with fury. Her forest green eyes were now darker than they looked.

Fiona had never been that insulted in her life and it was all because of her stupid father. If he hadn't run off after investing everything they had in a scam business then they would've had enough money to pay for her mother's hospital bills and she wouldn't have had to work in that agency.

If she hadn't worked there, she wouldn't have met this fool. Fiona mused as she pushed him, his presence which she had enjoyed so much that evening suddenly irritating her.

"I guess because I kissed you first, you think you can have me, well news flash, your money isn't enough to buy me. I hope that slap was enough to set that stupid brain of yours right. We don't sleep with clients and I'm not some cheap slut who'd take money to sleep with a guy. The sooner you realize that, the better for you," she told him and headed for his bathroom.

Once she got to the bathroom door, she stopped and turned to him. "I suggest you go back to that place you had been all afternoon if you don't want me going to the guestroom to sleep. I don't want to see you or be in the same space as you," she said and then slammed the bathroom door after she got in.

Liam who in his life hadn't expected a slap from any girl simply because he wanted to have her found himself smiling at the whole situation.

Not only was she beautiful, but she could resist him even when he knew she equally wanted him. She even slapped him and asked him out of his room.

How interesting could she be? He reasoned as he made his way out of the room and to Phil's room. He indeed wanted her.

Once inside Phil's room, Liam decided to give him a call.

"Hey bro, what's up?" came Phil's voice from the other end of the line the moment he received the call.

"I'm good. Never been this good before," he said and Phil raised a brow when he heard the gleam in his voice.

"Well? Spill it out then. What happened?" Phil inquired and Liam went on to tell him everything from the beginning.

"You mean to say you hired a girl to pose as your girlfriend because Aunty wanted to matchmake you with Cora?" Phil asked.

"Yes."

"Why? Don't you like Cora? You were both pretty close back then," Phil asked curiously.

"I don't see her as anything more than a friend...."

"But you do find this hired girlfriend of yours attractive enough to want to sleep with her?" Phil asked and Liam shrugged.

"She's pretty. I'm sure you'd find her attractive too when you see her," he said and Phil sighed.

"Was that why you had to disrespect her that way? You shouldn't have done that, Liam," Phil said and Liam nodded.

"Yeah, I know. I should've asked her before even making any advances at her," Liam said and Phil shook his head.

"What is it with you though? Is that how you go around offering girls money to have sex with them when what you should be doing is settling down?" Phil asked and Liam sighed.

"You know I can't get into...."

"You can and you should try to. You're not the first to have his girlfriend cheat on him. This isn't you Liam," Phil said and Liam sighed.

Phil was right. Sofia had indeed changed him. Maybe six months ago, he would never have behaved the way he did with Fiona but then again, that was what ladies deserved. Money for sex.

"I'll ask for her forgiveness if that is what you want and because she refused my money doesn't mean other girls won't jump at it....."

"That goes to tell you how different she is. Maybe if you focus more on getting to know her instead of bedding her, you would know that too," he said and Liam sighed again.

Phil was just too responsible for his liking. "I'm not ready for any of that commitment stuff, bro. You know that so, can you, please, stop nagging me?" he asked and Phil shrugged.

"Sure. Suit yourself."

"Yeah. So, what's going on with you?" Liam asked, changing the topic.

"Nothing much apart from running my restaurant," Phil said and Liam nodded.

"No lady yet? Isn't time you moved on?" Liam asked and Phil sighed.

"It's been two years already...."

"Two years isn't enough to mourn the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with," Phil said and Liam nodded.

"You're right but you really have to move on. Let yourself be loved again....."

"Says the one who won't get into any relationship because his girlfriend had an affair and married his business partner. You have to move on first before talking to me about moving on," he said and Liam laughed.

"I'm only telling you to move on because I'm ready to now. With my hired girlfriend."

Phil chuckled. "Whatever, man."

"Not whatever. I want to hear you talk about a lady the next time I call you, otherwise I'm going to disfamily, disbestfriend, diseveything you," Liam threatened and Phil chuckled.

"Are those even real English words?" he asked dryly.

"I just invented them."

"If you can invent words then I'm sure you won't have a problem apologizing to your hired girlfriend. Goodnight Bro. I'm meeting with a client tomorrow so I need to rest," Phil said and after bidding each other good night, they hung up.

He had indeed missed Phil. He mused and a sad sigh escaped his lips as he wished Phil could find his happiness soon. He deserved to be happy again after what had happened to him.
