"I should probably go get a cup of coffee so I can get to work," Fiona said and Liam shook his head.
"You shouldn't worry. There's one here for you," he said, handing her the second cup of coffee Fiona hadn't noticed before.
Before she could take it from him, Liam drew her close and she playfully hit his chest. "Don't be silly, babe. We have things to do," she said and while Liam was sulking, she took the coffee cup from him and walked over to her desk since she was yet to settle in.
As Fiona was settling into the plush armchair, scanning the elegant room for the hundredth time, since she moved into the office, Derek who had left a while ago returned.
His earlier departure to instruct his men to keep an eye on Mr. Stuart seemed to have taken a toll on him or perhaps something else had happened seeing as his brows were furrowed, and a trace of worry lingered in his eyes.
