As soon as he stepped into the hospital room, his eyes locked onto Fiona's mom's expectant face, he couldn't shake off the feeling that this meeting was going to be a lot more significant than he had anticipated.
Fiona's mom looked up at him, her eyes searching for answers to her inner questions.
"Hey, Liam," she greeted and he forced a smile onto his face, trying to appear calmer than he felt.
"Hey, Mrs. ... uh, Lopez," he stuttered, feeling like an idiot. "I'm Liam," he said and gritted his teeth when he realized he wasn't supposed to say that considering the fact that Diana had just called his name earlier.
Fiona, seeing this side of him hid a smile as she never would've imagined him to be such a freak.
The older woman's face softened, and she smiled weakly. "I can only wonder what Fiona must have told you about me, seeing how nervous you look. Calm down, Liam. I don't bite," she said and Liam laughed awkwardly.
