The next day dawned with a mixture of emotions for Derek and Cora.
For most couples when their partner was being introduced to their parents, it was also a good sign but Cora didn't think that. Derek had not agreed to go see her father because he was excited about their relationship but because he wanted to be able to keep her and her secrets away from her father and she wasn't sure that was a good idea.
As much as she liked the idea, she dreaded it and part of her wished she could stop him from making that mistake since she wasn't sure if he was ready for any of this yet or was just doing it.
"What are you thinking about so seriously?" Derek asked as he joined her downstairs, fully dressed.
"I don't know. I guess I'm just not sure if we should do this," she said and Derek frowned.
"Do what?" he asked in confusion.
