The next day, the morning sun streamed through the window as Fiona got up from bed. She picked up her phone to check if Elena had yet to return her call but when she didn't see any missed calls, she sighed and dialed Elena's line instead.
Although she knew nothing bad could happen to Elena, she was scared. Elena was usually an early bird and it sort of scared her to see that it was almost 7 A.M., yet Elena had not returned her calls.
As she dialed the line, she paced around her room as she waited anxiously for Elena to take the call and when Elena didn't pick up, she tried one more time before going to get ready for work.
She wasn't going to worry herself or get worked up over it. Elena would call when she sees her call. She decided as she headed for the kitchen.
She moved through her routine, while trying to focus on the task at hand, so she could make it to the office in time.
