After they finished eating, Derek and Cora sat at the table, basking in the warmth of their shared accomplishment. The pasta had been a success, and their laughter filled the room, creating a bubble of contentment around them as they talked about Cora's time outside the country.
Cora leaned back in her chair, a playful glint in her eyes. "You know, I never knew you could cook this way," Cora said and Derek grinned.
"Well, now you know. Want to make me your coach?" he asked and she laughed.
"Would that mean I would have to move in with you?" she asked and Derek raised a brow.
"Move in? Don't tell me you enjoy staying at my place so much that you want to move in with the sole excuse of learning how to cook from me," Derek teased and Cora smiled.
"Honestly? I do enjoy being here. My dad is barely around and even when he is he hardly sees me. Apparently he's just too busy working and keeping public appearance," Cora said with a sad sigh.
