Gabe was angry, he didn't know why but he was getting pissed extremely as someone was trying to stop him from reaching Cole. Cole was standing at the back of the room where the safe was located and in his hand was a black box. Gabe, sensing that he was not himself, took a deep breath and tried to calm his nerves down.
After he cleared his head a little he discovered that he was drawn to the box in Cole's hand and he felt an extreme urge to take the box away.
'So that is why I feel this way, either what he is holding is some kind of device that messes with brain waves or it is the ancient relic he spoke of', Gabe thought.
He then turned to Willow and asked.
"Who is she?"
"It seems you guys know each other and you look like you've seen a ghost".
Willow looked down to the floor before replying.
"She, well, I told you I was a slave, didn't I? She is my owner, Beatrice."
"That means she is your final boss. You have to beat her to move to the next level so prepare to fight for your life", Gabe said.
"No, I can't fi..."
Willow wanted to say something but stopped.
"Yes, I will fight for my life, I will beat her and then help you beat him", she said.
Gabe did not stand on ceremony and took the last geno serum he had saved. He picked an injection that was lying on the floor and used it to inject the serum into his veins. When he and Cole had fought, the final attack Cole dished out destroyed all the vials of geno serum he had except one.
Cole also did the same, his cool-down period had already expired. Both of them increased in size, becoming seven-foot-tall monsters. Gabe became a werewolf while Cole was always what he liked to be, a were-tiger.
Willow took the lead and started keeping Beatrice occupied giving space for Gabe and Cole to Duke it out.
"What do you hope to do with that single arm of yours, I see I gave you a new look, I really messed you up didn't I?" Cole stated and asked feeling smug.
He felt confident in beating Gabe. At first, he wanted to dispose of Gabe due to the nature of his mission but after their first exchange, he wanted to erase him from the surface of the earth.
He enveloped his fist with fire and transitioned into his martial arts stance.
Whoosh!!
With great speed, he arrived in front of Gabe attempting to deliver a devastating blow. He had increased his speed to a terrifying level using fire magic to propel himself forward, with flames rushing out from under his feet like a rocket.
Boom!!
The attack which was amplified by his fire magic connected, causing a mini explosion.
Cole had a smirk on his face. He thought history would repeat itself and what had happened last time would happen again, now all that was left was for the dust and smoke to settle so that Gabe's wrecked body would come into view but that never happened as he felt his hands were grabbed by something and the next moment he flew through the air, crashing into some equipment and then a wall, leaving him with a concussion and a loose tooth.
His head was spinning and he could not think straight. When he finally came to his senses he felt as if every bone in his face was broken.
Gabe had successfully blocked his attack and in turn landed a solid hit on Cole's face with a head butt, a perfect counter.
Gabe did not give Cole a chance to recover fully from his stupor and started dishing out kicks and blows. Some connected and some were blocked, he was in control of the fight.
Cole wanted to die from anger but the blows he received from Gabe caused him so much pain that he couldn't even think of anything else than to escape Gabe's grasp.
Bang! Bang!! Bang!!!
Each blow more brutal than the last.
On the other side, the witches were pretty much equal. What was weird was that Beatrice had a smirk on her face while Willow was not happy at all.
Witches were also human beings but what made witches "witches", was that they could cast all types of magic, elemental magic, light and dark magic, healing magic, etc. Humans could only cast elemental magic, dark magic, and light magic. Each of these types of magic, if mastered could open up a whole new dimension of magic. Light magic could give birth to time magic, dark magic could give birth to space magic, etc.
The highest amount of magic affinity a human being could have was two, but witches had an affinity to all types. The physical difference between normal humans and witches was that all witches had "heterochromia", a condition where one had different eye colors. Another difference was their aura, anyone attuned to magic could sense this difference.
...
The fight between Willow and Beatrice was getting heated when Cole's pained voice was heard.
"Beatrice stop playing and lend me a hand", Cole demanded.
Beatrice continued her fight with Willow, brushing off Cole like he didn't exist.
"Poison vine!"
"Water hose!"
"Dark arrow!"
"Abrutir"
Spells kept flying back and forth and this time a frown appeared on Beatrice's face before reverting to a smile, this was when Cole's voice could be heard again.
"Please, I beg of you lady Beatrice Osbert, help me!" Cole begged
"That's more like it, always have respect for your elders boy" Beatrice responded.
She then used a strange footwork to give herself some distance from Willow. Then she did some hand signs and then spoke.
"Stop!"
Immediately after she said stop, Willow did not move again. It wasn't that she stopped moving but she couldn't move again. A tattoo of a heart wrapped in chains appeared on her right arm, then it started glowing.
This was her slave crest and apparently, it did more than just signify that she was a slave.
