While the search was going on, the people whom they were searching for were already close to land. The police commander was right when he said that even if they were fishes, they couldn't have gotten far, but the thing was, they were not fishes but they had become aquatic demon beasts, built for speed. In no time, Gabe and the others had reached the river bank.
From there, they made their way to where their storage bracelets were, had a change of clothes, and boarded a taxi to the airship apron where their airship was packed.
"Finally, we get to go back to base, I don't think there is anything that would be able to st..."
Jack was saying something when the others grabbed him and closed his mouth.
"Do not go around setting off red flags Jack, we have had enough drama and action for today as it is," Abel said.
"Yeah, have pity on me and stop trying to tempt fate, two weeks of torture is not a joke," Cole said.
"What the hell are you guys even saying, all I was just trying to say was there is nothing that would be able to stop us from..."

This time, Rose gave Jack a solid punch to the back of his head. For some minutes he couldn't tell his left from his right and when he finally could, he saw they were all on the airship, headed back to Cole's house. Jack looked around and saw Rose in her seat.
"Hey! What the fuck did you do that for? Are you asking for a fight or what?" Jack asked.
"Just shut up," Rose replied.
"I will get you back for this, you better sleep with one eye open," Jack said.
"Oh! I'm scared. Idiot," Rose cursed.
Jack and Rose were about to switch gears when Gabe spoke out.
"Aren't you guys curious about what possessed Abel earlier, at the casino?" Gabe asked.
"Hey, I wasn't possessed," Abel said.
"You were like a poker master, a gambling lord, a master poker gambling lord," Jack said.
"What the hell are you even saying, Jack?" Rose asked.
"Hey, I don't have any beef with you so watch yourself," Jack replied.
"Ish, look at you standing there with your face like a master poker gambling lord, hehehe! I wonder what runs through your head at times," Rose said.
"Ugh! That does it. You who acts like a bitch to compete with a witch," Jack said.
"Uh?" Cole exclaimed.
'What the hell is wrong with you Jack?' Abel thought.
"Oh! It seems like we will be passing through a storm, I better go to the cockpit so that I can navigate out of it," Gabe said.
'Woah, Gabe takes double entendre to a whole new level,' Abel thought.
He then went after Gabe.
"Uh, Gabe, hold up, I've been wanting to ask you..."
And like that Gabe and Abel narrowly escaped a disaster, leaving Cole to take the brunt of it all. Cole had not yet fully recovered and did not find it easy at all to keep Rose and Jack from killing themselves.
After some time they finally made it back to Cole's house. For some reason, the time they used to return was less than the time they used to go to Borde, as it only took about forty minutes.
When they came out of the airship, Willow was there to welcome them.
"You guys are back. I kind of missed you all," Willow said.
"Yeah, how are you, Willow?" Gabe asked.
"I'm fine, I'm glad you're all ok," Willow said.
"More like you missed Gabe and you're glad he is back and the rest of us especially Rose should go to hell," Jack said.
Everywhere became silent after Jack spoke.
"What?" Willow asked.
'What the hell is wrong with this dude?' Cole thought.
Gabe moved closer to Abel and whispered something.
"Why is Jack so bent on dying today? Is he angry about something? Is he possessed by something something just like you were, at the casino? Is this his way of dealing with stress?" Gabe asked.
"I don't know," Abel replied.
"And what do you mean possessed like I was back at the casino?" Abel asked.
"I said it when we were been chased by the police. You know, gambling, during a dangerous mission. Well, now that I think about it, based on how the mission went, it doesn't look that dangerous to me again," Gabe said.
"Well, I don't know, I guess I got a little greedy, everything there was just tempting me to give it a try..." Abel said.
While Gabe and Abel were speaking in hushed tones, they suddenly heard a roar followed by a bang and the sound of bones breaking.
"Ahhh! You bitch, I'm going to kill you today!" Jack screamed.
"Come and die you immature bastard," Rose said.
What had happened was that Rose injected herself with Geno serum. She couldn't bear Jack's provocations again. Immediately she transformed, she punched him on his waste without holding back. If it were an ordinary person, they would have been split in half.
After Jack cursed, he also took out a vial of Geno serum and injected himself with it. From there Rose and Jack began to Duke it out, the fight was so bloody that one would think they were enemies, in fact, the others started considering whether they should stop them because it was as if they wanted to kill each other.
Bam! Bang! Crunch!
Punches sounded like canons, bones fractured and healed, they all had deep gashes on their bodies. Each of them fought for about forty minutes before stopping from exhaustion. Well, Jack prevailed but it was a very narrow win.
Jack was able to force Rose out of her transformation after he knocked her out. Immediately she was out, his transformation was also undone before he he fainted and fell to the floor face down due to the extreme injuries and exhaustion.
Later they both woke up at almost the same time.
"Oh, I see you guys are back up, and just in time to eat dinner. I hope you have gotten whatever it was you wanted to get, out of your systems," Abel said.
