Chapter 5 - Azure Cloud Forest

AGHHH!

I have no time to recount stories, do it yourself!

..

In the midst of the forest region, nestled among rolling hills and lush greenery, lay a hidden enclave known as Azure Flame City. Its appearance and size alone spoke of its hidden grandeur.

Within the city's tranquil streets, immortal cultivators roamed freely, their otherworldly presence woven into the very fabric of the landscape. It was not a small village but instead a main and large city where the true cultures and aspects of the immortal world mixed. Ancient trees whispered secrets of ages long past, their branches swaying in reverence to the power that coursed through their roots. The air itself seemed to shimmer with ethereal energy, carrying the faint scent of incense and enlightenment.

As one traversed the streets, a sense of awe enveloped them.

"Wow!" exclaimed a Yi Zhao, his voice filled with admiration.

At the heart of Azure Flame City stood the Immortal Pavilion, a majestic structure that served as a place of wisdom and enlightenment for cultivators from far and wide. Its towering spires reached towards the heavens, their tips bathed in the golden light of the setting sun. Within its hallowed halls, sages and scholars gathered to share knowledge, with all ten main cultivation paths said to converge within.

Beyond the tranquility of the city lay the untamed wilderness, where ancient beasts and primordial spirits roamed freely, their powers rivaling even the most seasoned cultivators. Hidden within the depths of the forest were sacred groves and forgotten ruins, where the echoes of immortal battles still reverberated through the ages.

Here, mortals and those walking the path of immortality walked side by side, their destinies intertwined in a dance of eternal enlightenment amidst the timeless beauty of the immortal cultivator world. It was a true hub for culture, and Yi Zhao found himself immersed in its depths, seeking a way out amidst all the wonders.

With Yao-Yao still in danger, there was no time for him to savor the city's delights. Soon, they departed and arrived in the forest.

This forest was unlike any other, where nature's touch was both magnificent and surreal. Towering trees stretched towards the heavens, their colossal trunks adorned with intricate patterns of moss and lichen, while their branches reached out in a canopy that blotted out the sky above. Each tree seemed like a titan, its sheer size defying the imagination, with roots that delved deep into the earth, intertwining with the very essence of the land.

As Yi Zhao ventured deeper into the forest, the air grew thick with the scent of exotic blooms and the faint whisper of spirit-beasts. Countless spirit herbs were scattered across the forest, their vibrant hues contrasting against the greenery that surrounded them.

"They're more scared of you than you're scared of them!" Yi Zhao muttered to himself.

Among the towering trees and lush vegetation, spirit-beasts roamed freely, their forms as majestic as they were awe-inspiring. Massive creatures, their size dwarfed that of their counterparts in ordinary forests, prowled through the underbrush with an air of regal grace. Their fur or scales gleamed with iridescent hues, reflecting the dappled sunlight that filtered through the dense foliage above.

They came in every form, small, large, and medium. Harmless and dangerous.

Streams and rivers cut through the forest, their crystal-clear waters filled with life. Every corner of the massive forest seemed to pulse with life, and an untamed beauty of the natural world. It was a realm where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blurred, where one could lose themselves in the wonders of the wild and emerge forever changed by the experience. And for those who dared to venture into its depths, the forest held secrets and treasures beyond imagination, waiting to be discovered by those strong enough to take them out.

"This Azure cloud forest looks amazing!" remarked Yi Zhai.

[Of course! This forest stretches several miles in every direction and is a holy land for spirit-beasts and spirit-herbs,] explained Eve.

[It's dangerous for non-cultivators, though.]

"The monsters seem pretty comfortable with humans though. Now where are those bastards?" Yi Zhao looked around in search of Uncle Hang and his goons.

"You actually came?!" I thought you'd just turn tale and run!" Uncle Hang's voice suddenly resounded from the surrounding woods.

Sticks broke and leaves ruffled as he revealed himself from within the forest. His gang of goons close behind him.
