Chapter 10 - Chapter 8!

Mila didn't say anything and grabbed Marlene's neck in a chokehold. The more Marlene struggled, the more challenging Mila tightened her grip on her neck. Then, Marlene kicked, making Mila stumble backward, but she stopped herself.

Marlene knew this wasn't Mila because although strong, she couldn't be as strong as the girl in front of her. "You pushed me. Today, I shall make you suffer the same fate as your mother, that hideous monster," Mila uttered.

"How dare you speak ill of my mother?" Marlene yelled.

Her eyes went completely black, the veins on her skin popping on her porcelain skin; "I will kill you today, and you should know who Marlene Katrina Caldwell is!" Marlene says.

She smirked profusely before anything teenage Mila threw a punch at Marlene, causing blood to spew out of her mouth. The two of them get into a heated brawl, and neither one of them wants to surrender, but one punch causes the girl to faint on the ground. Marlene stood in a corner, watching the girl's face change into someone else's.

Her eyes widened upon seeing her younger sister, Amelie, lying on the floor; "Amelie, I'm sorry! Please wake up," Marlene said, holding Amelie in her arms. Amelie opened her eyes a little; "Marlene, Take the girl away from here because Paulina would suck her youthful soul dry, and if she's satisfied, then she'll throw her into the Quiet Shallows.

A long time ago, many storytellers said that the Quiet Shallows is ruled by the Netherman (A human-snake hybrid); it is said that the Netherman feasted on children's flesh to stay alive and upon being banished to the depths of the Quiet Shallows. The Netherman vowed that whoever steps near the waters Shall suffer an even worse fate than him! Agatha and Paulina have been throwing the little girls they trade their souls with dolls into the shallows.

Amelie and Marlene escaped, but Agatha cursed them to live as unhappy ghosts. Paulina managed to capture Amelie and had been torturing her, trying to get her soul, but she wasn't fazed by it.

Amelie had no hope left, as Agatha Durham had washed it away. However, she wanted to help Mila, but only because she wanted to return the same favor her grandmother, Agatha, had bestowed upon her.

"Marlene, you must help her escape! Never forget what that witch Agatha did to us, and we shall bestow the same pain upon her!" Amelie said, slowly closing her eyes.

Marlene checked her pulse, but nothing—-her little sister was gone. She sobs uncontrollably, hugging her sister's lifeless body as if it weren't already lifeless. Then, a loud clap is heard, and when she looks up, Marlene sees Paulina looking at her with an amusing smile; "What an entertaining reunion! Don't you think so, My precious doll," Paulina says.

"Yes, it is, Master," Mila replied.

"No, Don't call her master!" Marlene said.

"But she is my master!" Mila utters.

"No, she isn't! Mila, you're not in your right mind! She is a hostile witch who doesn't care about you," Marlene asserted.

"No, My Master values me, and she cares and loves me; you don't know anything," Mila replies.

"I'll prove to you that this witch doesn't care about you," Marlene said.

Paulina laughed menacingly and held Mila close to her chest before walking away from Marlene. Marlene looked back at her little sister, who was no longer there. "Amelie, Where are you?" Marlene called out for her.

"She is gone far away! Let's join forces then; I shall tell you where I take her!" someone says.
