Everyday is the same. I wake up, eat breakfast, walk out of the house to practice magic with the other gifted ones and then go to the pub with my friends. Although I learned to like this routine, I am more than happy that today is different.
I run out of my bedroom into the kitchen with a bride smile. My mother is sitting on our wooden kitchen table and drinks her morning tea. She laughs "Someone is excited for tomorrows ceremony." I dance around her and grab the loaf of bread laying on the table. "Of course I am, today my whole life can change!"
Tomorrow is our purpose ceremony, meaning everyone in the age of 18 will finally get their story. Until now all we did would have an affect on the outcome of this ceremony which is why I took great care of the way I act. I have always been kind, never drank alcohol, never used my magic to harm others…I once smashed a little bug, but that was by accident. So to summarize: I made sure that I will get a princess story.
"Alright Mommy, I have to go to my friends now! See you in the evening!" I kiss her on the cheeks and run out of the house with the loaf of bread in my mouth. Our house is inside the forest and when walking into the villain city you can see the beautiful Kismet tree. All fates of our ancestors and our descendants are kept in this tree. I always have to smile thinking about it. "Cass!" I hear a male voice shouting. I turn around and see Miguel running towards me breathing heavily. "I wanted to surprise you, so I came to your house but you were gone." He says out of breath with a slight smile. Miguel and I are best friends since childhood. He was my fathers student, when he was still alive, since they both are very gifted in magic. Because of that we had to spend almost everyday together and after some death threats and murder attempts, we became inseparable.
"And?" He asks with a smirk. I look at him confused "And what?" Suddenly her grabs both of my shoulders and shakes my body "And…are you ready? To become the greatest villainess of all time?" My face turns stern. I push him away and tidy my outfit "you know, I don't want that." I continue to walk into the city. He tries to follow my speed, being around 10 cm shorter than me "But Cass, you are meant to be great! You have the most powerful magic ever seen in a debutant! You could be the most evil witch-" I cut him off angrily "Being evil is not great Micky!" I continue to walk in a faster pace and start changing the subject. "Anyways, today will be our last time together as Noones. I will kinda miss it" I smile softly at him. Suddenly he pulls me into a tight hug. I pat his head not knowing how to react. "There there?" I say awkwardly. I pulls away and laughs embarrassed "right, I forgot you hate hugs…but I will miss you." I smile at him again softly "Me too" As we continue to walk her harshly hits me with a fist into the side of my stomach "Also, be lucky you were born into the villain city…you don't even know how brainless and stupid the princesses are." He laughs while I rub my stomach in pain "I don't, but I suppose it makes them less violent"
