Damon couldn't understand what I meant but in the next moment the doors were slammed open and I gasped as I rose to my feet along with Damon.
The fury and rage in the blue orbs that I saw dwindled a little before they turned sharp again watching Damon who stood in front of me.
"Sir Asher," Damon regarded the intruder in a contemptuous tone.
"Miss Mirielle, I'm here. Let's go back." Asher spoke instead.
"She is not going anywhere with you," Damon answered but it didn't affect Asher as he stomped towards us.
"Please step aside, Your Grace."
Just then, Alan and Count came up rushing, there were several guards there as well.
"Asher!"
"This little-"
Asher didn't seem fazed by anything as he glared at Damon.
I knew he had a compulsion of presenting me before the Temple but to this extent?
He stood right in front of Damon who seemed to be shielding me from Asher's gaze.
