"Will this work?" the priest asked, his gaze narrowed at the transparent glass, staring at the red liquid. How well will her blood work? He felt a sudden rush tingling him, a force from the glass that made the witch lady stand far from him.

"I have never," the witch began, marveled, her white hair flowing about her, "I can feel it, the power of that blood reaching me." What kind of power does the goddess possess, she had truly underestimated her. "I have no doubt the vampire can survive this."

The priest nodded, placing the glass on a dusty table.

Away from the cathedral, they had found another hiding place. At night, it was dark with barely any lantern in the empty room. But the witch had set up a light from water, and potions that now floated at the top of the ceiling. He was fascinated by their powers. For a human, it was something to envy about.
