Chapter 141 - The Past XI

The Human king was seated on his throne, running his hand over his jaw. "More deaths, despicable," he cursed. "What could be done?"

One of the governors of the royal court stood, his head bald, with a grey beard reaching his chest. He had his chest puffed out when he spoke. "There is a man, my King, who has come from town to report about these deaths."

"Oh," the King said with a sigh of relief. "Do send him in."

The governor nodded and then turned to a guard, signaling him with a wave of his hand. Shortly after, the man strode in; he was wearing a long white robe resembling one worn by a priest.

"A priest?" The king frowned, observing the man, who looked rather young, around his late thirties, with sandy dust hair. "What solution can a priest bring?"

The man had a small smile on his face as he walked towards the king. "My King, I have with me a physician who has examined the bodies."
