It was late at midnight, but Madeline still would not sleep. She leaned into Draven, who planted kisses on her forehead. "Wife, I am certain they will return."
Madeline growled, finding warmth in his chest. She loved the fresh scent of mint from his skin, and tonight, Draven was shirtless, making it much more comfortable to snuggle towards him and feel his skin. "You are so beautiful," she murmured, letting her mind wander elsewhere so she wouldn't worry about her father.
