Madeline stared at him through the mirror as he trailed his hand on her exposed neck. Today, she had worn a white flowing gown with the bodice to hold it in place. Her hair was still styled in a bun with strands resting on her temple.
She sulked in the air when his lips rested on her skin, sucking the hollow of her neck. His eyes darkened when they met hers through the mirror. Madeline let out a moan, closing her eyes, but he quickly whispered in her ears, "Open your eyes, wife."
She obeyed, watching as he placed a soft kiss on her neck and then replaced it with his long hand. "Beautiful," he murmured, admiring her through the mirror.
"I want it on you," Draven said, a genuine smile flashing on his face as he shifted back and raised the necklace to her neck.
Madeline sulked in anticipation, waiting as he brought it closer to her neck. "Are you certain?" she asked, feeling nervous that he was actually going to give her his mother's treasure.
