Georgina smiled eagerly as she stood at the foot of the tailoring shop doorstep, waving at the young boy playing with other kids and calling out, "Come here, will you?"

His bright smile lit up his face as he wore a brown hat to shield himself from the sun, though it didn't hide the huge grin. His white shirt was neatly pressed, and his trousers had two long staps crossing over his shoulders.

"No," Josiah giggled, racing with children his age for arrays of stones thrown on the ground. They were throwing it in a circle, and whoever fails will get chased. It seemed to be a fun game since Josiah was ignoring her. The young boy was always eager to play with her and her sisters.

"Josiah," Georgina persisted. Soon her mother would call for her, but she was on the verge to know what was happening. She needed gossip about Madeline.
