The hairs on Draven's skin stood erect. 'For the love of God, who had interrupted this peaceful moment he was having with his wife? What had caused this sudden commotion?'
His eyes narrowed as he strode towards the carriage in front. All of his guards were out, circling over something ahead. "What is it?" Draven growled.
Three of the guards looked anxiously up at the king when he approached. The two carriage that includes his wife and the maid where shut. The other carriage in front, that had carried the human guards, had been shattered. The two remaining guards in front who hadn't seen the king staggered at the sight before them.
Draven had not called for the vampires Sebastain had assigned, but he knew they were trailing behind or perched somewhere among the trees.
"What is it?" he asked the three anxious guards. Whatever it was, he knew it wouldn't be good.
