Night crept in, shrouding the dark room in an aura of foreboding. Saul stood at the far edge, his amber eyes blazing with hatred and resentment for what lay beyond his grasp.
"Mountain shall fall after I've feasted on her blood," Saul eyes gleamed with an unnatural hunger, his voice dipping with malice. "I'll end Draven before she saves him."
Selina entered, her boots echoing on the stoned floor. "The girl is stronger than you think. Her powers almost destroyed us all. Do you still want to go ahead with this?"
Saul snorted, his back still turned. "Her powers can't compare to a vampire's."
"Except for a rogue," Selina countered. "She could defeat us all. Don't think the power that can purify cursed blood can't destroy us in an instant."
Saul said nothing.
