Draven sighed; that voice could only come from one person, Sebastian. Because of his interruption, Madeline had shifted back, and the anticipated kiss did not happen.
Draven frowned at Sebastian, who had just walked in wearing a blue tailored suit that matched his fair skin and white hair. His emerald eyes shifted from Madeline to Draven as he spoke, baffled but with a playful tone, "So it wasn't animals disturbing the garden after all."
Madeline stiffened, looking to Draven for help. Should they lie and say they arrived in a carriage? Or did Sebastian know about Draven's true nature since they were friends? She needed to be sure before she said anything about how they got here.
Draven scoffed, shooting Sebastian glares that could kill, "If you were aware of the 'animal,' then you should have left it be."
"Not when I'm curious," Sebastian leaned back against an orange branch nearby. "You two have been caught red-handed, so you better start explaining."
