"DAMMIT!" Alvera yelled as she slammed her arms on the table. "How have you still not found her?" she demanded to know as she turned to Serena. "It seems she either died before you could take her power or she's just too weak to find right now?" Serena replied.
"You know for someone claiming to be a god your power seems offly limited as of late" Serena added. "How dare you" Alvera said with anger. "I am your god and the very source of your power!" she snapped. Serena laughed.
"You may be their god but you are not mine" Serena replied. "In reality, all you are is a source of power for us just as we are for you" she added. Alvera suddenly grabbed Serena by the neck and slammed her against the wall. "She wouldn't be very happy if you killed her informant," Serena said with a sly smile. Alvera let out a sound that almost appeared to be a growl before she threw Serena to the ground.
"You may claim to be a god but without her, you would be nothing," Serena said as she held her throat. "Without her, you'd be long dead and forgotten, just another useless piece of the moon goddess's heart," she said hitting a nerve.
"You don't know anything," Alvera told her. "No one does" she added.

"Release me foul beast" a woman screamed as a man held her down. "Do you truly think you can push me away witch" the man whispered in her ear. He ripped off the fabric that clothed her body and put his hand on her mouth as she attempted to scream.
It was the worst night that a woman would ever go through. At least that's what she thought until many weeks passed. The woman grew silent she was now the shame of her family. Though they had gotten justice for the wrong done to her they still felt it was her fault.
"Sajiona" a woman called. "Is it true then!" she asked. "Have I become with child?" she asked. "It appears to be so, child" her mother responded. Sajiona was a young witch new to the practice. She knew not enough magic to free herself that night and was overpowered by the wolf that had taken her. The wolf whom was now dead after being caught and tried by the matriarch of the coven.
"What do I do now?" sajiona asked as she looked up at her mother. "The child you carry within is a blessing from the goddess, she gives you this gift of motherhood as repayment for what was done to you, my child" her mother explained. "You must raise it and love it, teach it as it will teach you" the mother added.
More months passed and it was not long before Sajiona went into labor.
"I can't" she cried as she lay on the ground. "You must," her mother said as she held her daughter's hand. "Ahh" Sajiona screamed as she began to push. After a moment was finally slight relief.
The woman in front of her held the baby as it began to cry and quickly wrapped it in a large and thick cloth. "Your Daughter," the woman said handing her the baby. Sajiona took her baby and carefully held it in her arms. "She is beautiful," Sajiona said. "But her hair and eyes are nothing like I've seen before," Sajiona said as she looked up at her mother. "As I said, a true gift from the goddess," her mother told her.
"Have you decided on a name, child?" her mother asked. "I believe I have," Sajiona said as she looked down at her baby. "I've decided to name her Sajorna, after you mother," Sajiona said as she continued to stare at her baby.
"You honor me, child," her mother said with a smile.
Time passed in the blink of an eye. Before long the child was 12 years old. Her magic had grown far more powerful than those of her coven. But that did not scare them away from her. Sajiona raised Sajorna with much love and care.
Sajiona taught sajorna to see everything life had to offer. She taught her not to judge but instead how to help those in need. And most of all she taught her daughter magic from a young age. Sajiona loved her daughter very much. But the night she was conceived would always remain a nightmare that would haunt Sajiona for the rest of her life. It was something Sajiona never wanted Sajorna to experience.
"Mama" Sajorna called out to her mother. "What is it, my sweet child?" Sajiona asked petting her daughter's hand. "Why is it that my magic is stronger than the rest of the coven?" Sajorna asked. "Why don't they become jealous of me?" Sajorna questioned.
"Because there is no reason to be my sweet child," Sajiona told her. "Your birth was a gift from Selene the moon goddess herself," Sajiona told Sajorna. "Your magic may be strong but your heart is kind" she added placing her hand above Sajornas heart as she knelt to her. "And I believe both that powerful magic and that beautifully kind heart are both from the moon goddess as well" she added. "In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the moon goddess gave you a piece of her own heart," Sajiona told her daughter. Sajorna smiled. "Do you really believe so mama?" Sajorna questioned. "I do," Sajiona told her.
A piece of the goddess's heart? It must be truly a priceless thing. It was that day, that word began to spread. Rumors that would create an everlasting path in history.
What was a piece of the goddess's heart was it a treasure, was it power, or perhaps the one who embodied that power? What made those who were blessed by the goddess in such a way so special what made them so different, and was it truly the goddess that made them so powerful? As rumors spread and people came to see this mystical piece in human form, it was only realized once the girl turned 13 what truly made those blessed to be the goddess's heart so different.
