Chapter 50 - 50

It's been almost a month since the news and Kacchan has grown more and more needy in such a short time. It's not even like he is trying out right to take advantage. No, it's just that he needs more care.

"Urg," Kacchan groaned, giving me the only warning that I would get and I dived for the nearby trashcan and brought it to him before he was throwing up. Again.

"Now who can tell me-," Aizawa Sensei continued as if nothing happened at all and honestly that was preferred. Present Mic still freaks out everytime and Midnight… Well next time she tries to use us as a reason to lecture about safe sex she will think twice about it. Last time I dragged her to Nezu's office and I exploded on both of them about how it classified as harassment and Midnight now flinches anytime she sees me or Nezu. Turns out he doesn't appreciate being threatened with a lawsuit when he knows he would lose. By the time I came back to class Kacchan just gave me a copy of his notes and a soft smile that squeezed my heart.

Kacchan answered Aizawa Sensei's question when no one else would and he went on about the importance of knowing the situation before acting. Class really droned on but I just smiled. Even though Kacchan has been getting sick a lot, he is obviously feeling a lot better than just a few weeks ago. The fear of not knowing was hurting him just that much.

"Huh, now that I think about it. I haven't heard anything from Dick since we found out you were pregnant," I said out loud when the bell rang for us to go to lunch.

"The fucker finally got his way, we probably won't hear anything from him until he wants something else," Kacchan rolled his eyes and I giggled. Kacchan was now laying his head on my shoulder and holding me from behind, this quiet neediness is so freaking cute I could die.

"I love you," I whispered before kissing him on the cheek. He mumbled about me being sappy but he was smiling so I leaned against him too. "Come on, Lunch Rush said he would make your favorite today," I teased him before pulling him towards first the bathroom so he could clean his mouth out and then the cafeteria.

Now that it was official that Kacchan is actually pregnant the student body will go silent when he walks into a room, most likely talking about us but we don't actually care. After all, it's not like we aren't used to the whispers, these are nothing compared to the ones from the future.

Somehow the inherited power of All Might is a hot topic and the fact that the power, not me, the power was related to All-For-One had many citizens afraid of me, even kids. Sadly after All Might died it became public knowledge. Well before then really but still. Not fun. The fact that him being alive kept so much hate and negativity away was mind boggling.

And now he's my dad.

"Izuku my boy?" Dad showed up next to us and Kacchan and I jumped at the suddenness of it. How can he be so big and yet so silent? Just how?

"Yes Dad?" I asked, thankful we hadn't picked up our trays yet when he appeared.

"Your mother sent some spicy cocoa, if you two would be interested in having your lunch in my office?" Dad was doing his kicked puppy, I don't know how I should react but please come with me, look and neither of us are that strong. Even without the cocoa.

"Cocoa sounds great, let us get our trays and we'll meet you there?" I suggested and Kacchan nodded, I had already seen him perk up at the mention of the sweet yet spicy treat.

"Great, I'll start the cocoa!" He waved and was gone in seconds.

"How does he do that?" Kacchan and I asked at the same time before laughing and turning back to the line.

"Must be nice being All Might's favorite," I heard Monamoa grumble while walking by with his tray.

"Oi, Copycat! All Might is allowed to talk to his own son," Kacchan snapped at him, making several people turn to look at us but I just let out a sigh.

"Come on Kacchan, you need to eat and Dad is waiting for us. It won't be long before we go on a mission and we won't see him for a long time," I tried to remind him but he was already turning back and thankfully this time it was our turn.

Lunch Rush saw us and smiled, "just in time. I just got out a new pan, it's fresh and hot!" We smiled and thanked the hero before turning to go towards Dad's office.

"I wonder what Dad wants? Or do you think he really just wants to chat?" I asked Kacchan who rolled his eyes at me but smiled.

"Well as much as he loves to talk to you, I bet he is going to try and convince us not to take the mission. We'll be far away from them and outside of the country. The hag has been nagging about how we should pick something closer or shorter and I'm sure Auntie is saying the same things to him." Crap, Kacchan is probably right. But we didn't really want to be around while Kacchan was large, it's the reason we picked such a long lasting mission in the first place!

"The difference is that that country tried to kidnap us. So everyone already knows anyway," I groaned, not needing to say anything else out loud.

"Deku I'm okay with putting it off. You said so yourself, the world already knows," Kacchan nudged me with his elbow playfully. "Besides, we both know I'm petty as fuck so if anyone even thinks they can I just might blow them up. Without the hormones."

I laughed at that, I know I shouldn't have but it was Kacchan and I know he has way better control of himself than that. He always has.

We walked in to see Dad pouring three mugs of cocoa and he smiled brightly the moment he saw us. Maybe he isn't going to try and convince us to stay? He seems far too happy to be ready to confront us on anything. We chatted for a while and Kacchan ate everything on his plate, which is crazy since Lunch Rush gave him so much extra, and then he was nibbling off mine too until Dad brought out some snacks.

"I'm so glad you have your appetite back, your mothers have been almost destructive with the thought of you not eating enough," Dad sighed and I don't think he realized that his sentence was a little odd but oh well. He looks tired so I'm sure Mom hasn't let him rest properly in a while.

"But that does bring me to why I asked you to come today," he let out a slow sigh and I stifled a laugh. "Do you really need to go on such a long mission? Couldn't you do it from here?" To be fair, he doesn't look like he is being forced to say this. He looks heartbroken at the thought of us being gone for so long.

I turned and smiled at Kacchan who grinned back. He pulled out his phone and searched through some more local missions and close enough there was one in Tokyo that was supposed to last a month and it would cover our hero hours for the remainder of Kacchan's pregnancy.

"We'll have to do more than one but it's still in the country and it will be over in about a month," Kacchan smirked at me. We both know that our hours would be covered but our sanity wouldn't. We need to stay active and busy but who knows, our thoughts might change later, after all as it is now Kacchan just wants to stay home and cuddle most of the time.

"Really?" He asked hopefully and I read over the mission details. Reconnence, they need people to help map out an area for a large hero mission that's due later. Safe enough for Kacchan and I am happy so long as he is safe.

"Yeah, I'm okay with this," I smiled and Kacchan went about putting in the change of paperwork. Turns out they were relieved we changed our minds. The thought of our baby, as young as we were, we are still heroes, having double citizenship was apparently making them nervous because the fastest way to lose heroes was for them to lose their kids and kids with citizenship in other countries can be used as leverage. Canada isn't usually one of those countries but still. Our government was nervous.

"Both of your mothers are going to be so happy! Can I be the one to tell them? Please? It would be nice if I gave them good news for once," he was ready to beg from his relief and we laughed but agreed anyway. We finished our lunch quickly and went back to class to gather our things, now we need to finish packing tonight instead of this weekend and I already sent a message to Nezu about the mission change which seemed to relieve him as well. I mean dang. How nervous was everyone that we wouldn't come back? Then again, we were quite literally kidnapped by a country so I guess it's understandable.

"Where are you two going?" Aizawa Sensei asked, walking in as we were shouldering our bags, our classmates had already filed in and were seated but obviously too afraid to actually ask. I wonder if I scared them or not. I know they expect Kacchan to be hot headed most of the time but I also know that I have just as much of a temper, mine just happens to be more of a slow burn.

"New mission, see you in about a month," I smiled as I reached out and held Kacchan's hand, leading him out of the room.

"A month? I thought it was longer than that?" He asked, obviously probing for information.

"Change of plans. That one will be assigned to someone else," I called back as we left and again I heard him sigh in relief just like everyone else. Okay then, maybe we'll stick to missions inside the country towards the end of Kacchan's pregnancy.  As much as we didn't really want to be around during the later stages, we could still stay in the country. It's not that hard.

I think.
