Ben's victory was clearly etched in Louise's memory. She was in a shocked state right now, not believing that the familiar she had summoned would be so incredible. Previously, Louise was skeptical about Ben's words, but now she has completely changed her mind. Being shocked, the girl was lost in her thoughts and did not notice how Ben approached her.
Seeing that Louise did not react to him in any way, Ben decided to tease her a little and leaned as close to her face as possible, asking Louise: - How do you like the performance?
Louise was startled by surprise and finally saw Ben's smiling face in front of her, who was staring at her with a little mockery in his eyes. Louise was a little embarrassed by this and took a step back. After all, Ben's face was a terrible weapon against all women, and Louise was no exception.
- N-nothing special... - the girl squeezed out, trying to hide her embarrassment, which made Ben's smile grow even wider.
- If you like my face so much, you can look at it as much as you want, I don't mind. - Ben continued to tease Louise, for which the embarrassed girl angrily stepped on the man's foot. However, Ben foresaw this and deftly dodged Louise's leg. Annoyed by this, Louise made several more attempts, but they were all unsuccessful, Ben anticipated her every move, showing with all his self-satisfied look that she would not succeed.
- "And it's easy to get used to it." - Ben thought, watching Louise. This girl seemed to him extraordinarily sweet, despite her violent nature. In the past, Ben had led a rather private life, keeping his distance from everyone. However, by fooling around with Louise like this, he realized that he was depriving himself of most of the fun.
However, the fun was soon interrupted by the monotonous voice of Professor Colbert, who was approaching them at a brisk pace: - Miss Valliere, could you and your familiar come with me? The director wants to see you.
Ben immediately noticed him. Although Professor Colbert looked like an unremarkable middle-aged man, Ben felt the danger coming from him.
Hearing this, Louise began to get nervous, as she thought that the director wanted to scold her and Ben for the duel. She didn't want to go, but she had no choice. Sighing, she nodded to the professor and followed him, taking Ben by the sleeve and dragging him along with her. The man just shook his head and obediently walked, led by Louise.
Walking through the corridors of the school, Ben felt a little disappointed. He had noticed in the morning that this castle was unremarkable compared to Hogwarts. There were no ghosts flying everywhere, moving ladders and tableaux vivants
- "When I get back, I will definitely visit Hogwarts." - Ben made a mental promise to himself, nostalgic.
When Ben heard that the headmaster wanted to see him, he couldn't help but think of Dumbledore. Ben wondered what the headmaster of this school was like, what he looked like, and if he could match Dumbledore's powers.
Fortunately, his curiosity was soon satisfied, as a few minutes later, accompanied by Professor Colbert and Louise, he reached the entrance to the principal's office. Once in front of the door, Ben heard voices coming from the office.
- What color are they, Chuchu? Ho-ho, black... Miss Longueville knows how to surprise. - The old man's soft voice was heard, followed immediately by the dull sound of a blow.
- Director, behave yourself! - A woman's angry cry rang out.
- "Apparently all wizards become eccentric in old age... Regardless of the world." - Ben sighed, remembering Dumbledore.
- Ahem, Director, I've brought Miss Valliere and her familiar. - Professor Colbert knocked on the door and said sheepishly.
- Yes, yes, come in! - An old man's voice came from behind the door, which was full of enthusiasm.
Entering the office, Ben saw two people: a pretty woman with glasses, whose distinctive feature was green hair, and also a gray-haired old man in a gray robe. The old man was smiling perversely, holding a pipe in his hand that he had recently lit, and the girl looked at him irritably, wanting to tear it up.
- Hello, Director! - Louise greeted the old man tensely.
- Relax, Miss Valliere, don't be nervous. I didn't invite you here to chastise you for the duel. - the director said in a relaxed manner, leaning back in his chair, at the same time assuming a thoughtful expression on his face.
- Then... What did you call us for? Louise asked uncomprehendingly, mentally relieved when the cause of her concern was gone.
- Professor Colbert informed me that you have summoned a human as your familiar, so I wanted to see this phenomenon. - The old man said thoughtfully, carefully examining Ben, which made him uncomfortable.
- Introduce yourself, young man. - The director turned to Ben.
- My name is Ben, as you know, I am the familiar of this girl. - Ben replied calmly, pointing at Louise.
- I'm Osmond, the headmaster of this school. - the old man introduced himself in response, putting the pipe to his mouth and sighing smoke.
- So why did you want to see me? - Ben asked cautiously, watching Osmond closely. He even started applying legilimency to him. After a long acquaintance with Dumbledore, Ben knew that old people could not be trusted.
- As you know, I can't ignore the presence of a stranger in this school, even if you are the familiar of one of the students. - the director began to bring to the point.
Sensing something was wrong, Louise began to defend her familiar: - Director, I can guarantee that Ben is safe! If you need guarantees...
Before Louise could finish, Ben gently interrupted her: - It's okay, the director is right. - After that, Ben looked at the director intently.
- And what do you want from me? - The man turned to the old man.
- First of all, I would like to know more about you. After that, I will make a decision regarding your stay at Tristain Academy. - Osmond said seriously.
- Hmm... Good... - Ben replied after a short pause and began to summarize his story. He believed that the director might be aware of the movement between worlds and about his sudden abilities to wield weapons. For this reason, Ben did not forget to mention these points in his story. In a few minutes, the man completed the story.
- "So he's the same as that person... hmm... I didn't expect anything less from the legendary familiar, Gandalfr." - Osmond didn't say it out loud, but Ben could read it in his mind.
-Well, I don't think you're lying. In that case, it's better if you stay here. - the director said relaxed, not at all surprised by Ben's story about another world. And after a few seconds of silence, he added: - At least until you adapt to life here.
- Thanks for the permission. - Ben replied smiling, looking at the joyful girl next to him. Louise felt relieved that Ben would stay by her side.
- Ho-ho, don't mention it. - Osmond laughed slightly as he watched the two of them.
- Then can we go? - Louise asked.
-Yes, I dare not detain you, Miss Valliere.
After saying goodbye to the director, Louise hurried after Ben and left the office. She felt uncomfortable here. When the door closed, the silence was broken by Professor Colbert, who had been standing next to Osmond all this time.
- What do you think of him, Director?
- I'm sure he's Gandalfr. I don't think he's a danger to us right now, but keep watching. - Osmond said seriously.
- I'm listening. - Professor Colbert reported briefly.
- "Gandalfr? We need to report this..." - While the director and Professor Colbert were engaged in conversation, the woman with green hair listened attentively to their every word.
