Chereads / DxD: Soul System / Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Jibril

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Jibril

Once I'm finally done looking at everything I crash down onto my bed. It's true I was on it, but I was just sitting. Once I do, I feel a profound wave of exhaustion hit me all at once, pretty ironic when my endurance is higher than some devils… well that's just a guess.

"Hey, Eve. Can you buy all 5 items from the shop? They might be important for me in the future," I said while a bunch of holographic screens blocked my view.

[ Right away, Ryu ]

[ You have purchased all 5 Random Items from the Multiverse Shop! ]

[ Spent 85,000 Soul Points! ]

[ Remaining Soul Points: 415,000 ]

[ You have acquired the [Sharing is Caring (SS)] skill ! ]

[ [Noble Phantasm (??? Rank) - Enkidu (Chains of Heaven)] has been soul-bound to [Ryu] permanently! ]

[ [Chunchunmaru- (Epic+ Rank)] has been placed inside the inventory ! ]

[ [15 Body Strengthening Pills (Rare+ Rank)] has been placed inside the inventory ! ]

[ [Star Star Fruit- Devil Fruit: Logia (SS-Rank)] has been placed inside the inventory ! ]

Ohhh interesting, so skills are automatically learned and it seems only certain weapons will be soul-bound to me. The thing is... Does it have something to do with the rank of the weapon or is it only Noble Phantasms? A question for another day.

I wanna take a look at the Star Star Fruit, it might taste nasty but my curiosity is winning. I wonder if it's exactly the same as One Piece or if there was a change.

I tapped on the notification of the fruit and it led me directly to the inventory so I sat up from my bed again and willed it to be in my hand.

Viola, a star-shaped fruit appeared. It had countless orange swirls and a small green leaf on its stem at the top. This thing is huge, it dwarfs my hands. Right, I have child hands. I finish my inspection and proceed to bite into this power-up. A satisfying crunch echoes throughout my room as I enjoy the crispiness and the sweetness. I thought it was supposed to be nasty! What is this consistency?! The crispiness is like an apple but it tastes like watermelon! I devour the whole thing without wasting any time at all, not caring if it really will increase my powers. That's only secondary! Deliciousness for the win! I smack my lips and sigh in satisfaction but it was short-lived when a notification appeared right in front of me.

[ Devil Fruit has been eaten! You have learned the skill [Star Star Fruit (SS)] ! ]

[ Appropriate Information will now be transmitted but the user must draw out its power on his own. ]

I suppose learning something about it is better than nothing, so no complaints here. I got Gravity manipulation huh? Nice. Plus this power will lead to my personalized swift attack and beam attack. Though, those sound like Pokemon moves. Well, whatever. This will be fun. I mean, this will help eliminate my enemies. Yeah!

Anyways, it's time to face the dreaded Gacha. Hopefully, my luck raises the chances of pulling something awesome.

Okay, Eve, roll all my daily spins. I'm ready.

[ Affirmative ]

[ Spinning Gacha… ]

[ Please wait… ]

[ You have obtained the [Dagger of Severing Winds (Epic++ Rank)] ! ]

[ You have obtained the [No Game No Life Entity Summoning Ticket (Mythical+ Rank)] ! ]

[ You have obtained [¥10 Billion (Yen) / $64,618,000 (US Dollars)] ! Transfer to a ready-made personal bank account is available! ]

[ You have acquired the [Arc of Embodiment (S)] skill ! ]

[ You have obtained [200,000 Soul Points] ! [Total Soul Points: 615,000.] ]

Uh? Leaving aside the dagger- which may actually come in handy since I am still a child- the money and soul points, what's with this summoning ticket?

I mean, it was pretty obvious I could obtain some money and points from the Gacha considering how they work. But how could I summon beings from other anime worlds? With just a ticket no less? There's also this ridiculous overpowered skill that relies entirely on magic to form items or rather anything. Jesus reality warping, for real? Talk about overkill, well, it's kinda toned down so it might be fine. How do I know it stays in this world without dissipating? Well, the automatic transfer informed me about it.

Sure, I could theoretically make any weapon but it can never compare to the original since it's still made from magic and not actual materials. I may be able to make those materials, but at the end of the day, I am expending mana to form said material from nothing. All things considered, I'm glad the things I make won't just disappear if I stop focusing on them. Plus it's not like the things I make from it are not strong, say one thing is a Mythical rank item. Well if I make it with this magic then it will just go down one rank making it Legendary instead. It will come in handy in the future, I'm sure. Perhaps the limitations will be lifted if I train with it more…?

Seems like my luck came in clutch. The beings from No Game No Life are all pretty awesome. Imagine summoning Tet! That'd be hilarious. Incredibly dangerous, but a grin forms in my mouth from the challenge. Shit, this is making me giddy.

Though now that I think about it, should I really use the ticket to just yank someone from that world when they could have some attachment to it? Isn't that unfair...?

[ You have no need to worry Ryu. Check the description of the ticket. ]

Hmm? Alright, can you bring it up for me Eve?

[ [No Game No Life Entity Summoning Ticket (Mythical+ Rank)]: A specialized ticket capable of tearing through Spatial Layers to open up a connection to the [No Game No-Life World]. The connection in question is sealed to prevent invaders from accessing it, which guarantees the safety of the summoner and the one who is summoned. Once accessed, this ticket is capable of finding a suitable being (Any Being) who subconsciously wishes to either find some amusement in their life or live freely because they hold no attachment to their own world. There are countless other factors but the most prominent would be their sense of detachment from their world in any way, shape, or form. ]

Well, I'll be. Isn't this like, too good to be true? Yes, I already know the ticket is right in front of me just waiting to be used but first things first would the beings in my world find out I am performing this summoning Eve?

[ If you would have performed the summoning the moment it appeared then yes countless beings would have noticed the disturbance of those spatial layers being broken. But to counteract this and hide this summoning, the use of one of your skills would help greatly. ]

Do you mean the Aura of Infinity? Can you pull it up for me Eve, thank you for this!

[ It is my duty to help Ryu. Here is the description of the skill. ]

[ [Aura of Infinity (SS)]: -Active Skill- The user can bend space through the use of their Aura. It creates a dome where the user can manipulate it however they wish. This includes teleportation, sound blockage, sensing presences, identifying energy signatures, total concealment, pressure, boosted recovery of HP, MP, or Stamina, and a vast increase in their power and defense.

This skill is malleable and intangible all the same, capable of encasing the user in an impenetrable fortress and expanding itself to encompass the entirety of Tsuoh Town as a temporary limit, which in turn allows the user to pair together a number of skills. The aura within this skill is a fusion of Ryu's soul, lifeforce, and infinity. Though the skill is capable of an impressive range, it will only manifest as a thin film. Beings will only feel a slight disturbance before it disappears from their mind.

The host can form a pocket space that is separated from the world. The effectiveness of the skill depends on the host's control and the smaller the radius. Through continuous improvement, the 'Infinity' in the skill name will be made into reality. ]

Oi, what's with the combination of town names? Tsuno is where Nisekoi is located and Kuoh is for DxD. Is this allowed? Should I really question it? Yeah, I shouldn't.

But it looks like this skill will help me out on this one. Have I already grown desensitized to all this? Perhaps. But is it just me, or is it terribly overpowered…? It is and as I obtain control over it, the easier it will be to have it constantly surround me. Seems like perfect training too.

Man, what am I even going to do about my powers? If I use them it's gonna be obvious to both my family and the supernatural, though I'm not stupid enough to actually use it in plain view. I mean, I understand the importance of telling your family and even hiding away in the shadows. They both have demerits and merits... And honestly, it's probably better to hide it away from some people, well until I have a firm foothold as a strong being, you know, I gotta be strong enough to protect them until they get strong enough to protect themselves.

For now, I'll keep quiet since it'd be too hasty and sooner or later an opportunity might present itself. I can feel it.

Besides, I'm not even taking into account my yakuza clan, for all I know we might be or might have dealt with the supernatural. I wouldn't be surprised since our clan is a huge part of the Yakuza Underworld, we control them all. Ugh taking into account my dad's personality, the way he forgets things, and the love he has for us. He most likely kept it hidden.

Ah!

I shake away my thoughts and redirect my attention to the matter at hand.

"Aura of Infinity," I mutter.

Immediately after that, I feel myself getting stronger, I detect multiple presences in the house which are most likely my family, and a whole truckload of information hits me in waves. It continues until I gradually get accustomed to the overload. I don't forget to tell Eve to take out the effects I don't need at the moment. Oh? It definitely feels like an extension of myself. But instead of covering the whole house I shrink it to my immediate area- my room to be exact.

Okay, next would be…

"Can you begin the summoning process by using the ticket, Eve?"

[ No Game No Life Entity Summoning Ticket has been used! ]

[ Beginning Search... ]

[ Pending…. ]

[ Being Found! ]

[ Beginning Transfer! ]

The surrounding space around me began to shake as cracks began to form. Countless magic circles appear as I literally feel the summoning ritual tear through the spatial barriers heading towards a completely different world- or universe? The many purple, blue, black, and red magic circles filled with geometric patterns and runes begin to spin until a flash of light blinds me momentarily. I blink a couple of times until I regain my focus back to the summoning.

Right before my eyes, I see the silhouette of a woman, but believe me, it's not an ordinary woman. When the ticket description said any being, it really did mean it literally huh?

As the morning light shines brightly in my room I could make out the figure of the… woman better. She has long purple-pink hair that reaches down to her knees with yellow and green at its tips along with two white wings protruding near her hips. Her pupils are purple surrounded by a gold iris but a distinct purple cross shape is now visible inside her eye.

Perhaps what happened to her has caught her intrigue? Well, summoning someone from a different world is pretty interesting, though that might be an understatement. I mean, she was basically isekai'd, as funny as that sounds when she's literally the embodiment of 'fantasy.'

Instead of regular human ears, they are wing-shaped and she also has a halo over her head in the form of a spikey magic circle. That's literally how it looks, nothing like those halos over regular Angels. Her slim and well-endowed body is pretty much out in the open since she is sporting a top that leaves her midriff exposed and wears a long yellow skirt that exposes her thighs.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel dread at this moment, but I'm pretty sure the system would've dealt with a rampage of some sort, perhaps she's bound to my soul? Or at least given the option to be bonded before she came here and answered the call? Either way, gotta think of some kind of bait to entice her, or would her being bound to my soul be enough? Show of strength? Maybe. I'll just spin the Gacha! And wing the conversation! No pun intended!

I breathe in and start by saying, "Yo! It is I, the guy who summoned you!" I wait for a while, maintaining my calm facade, as I look at her expressions carefully. She was looking at me in intrigue before and now it completely changed to immense curiosity, perhaps my casual way of speaking to a powerful Flugel really impressed her. I mean, can you blame her? To her, I'm just a child of Immanity. Or perhaps something close to it. My chances are high that she underestimates me and only knows about my human race. I do have total concealment after all and Eve sorted through it.

After a couple of seconds, I saw her surprised look change into a condescending smile before opening her mouth and saying, "Oh? So you're the one who summoned me? I found it quite curious how I was given a choice to let myself be summoned and bound. At first, I thought it was a calling from an Old Deus, but to think an Immanity child was the first thing I laid eyes upon." She then crossed her arms underneath her chest while a glint passed through her eyes and I felt myself freeze. "Tell me, why shouldn't I just wrestle for control and destroy this home of yours? I no longer feel the constraints of the Ten Pledges. I could roam free in this new world and there will be none who stop the rampage of a Flugel."

Yeah, I knew it would lead to this.

Uwah that condescending look in her eyes is sending chills down my spine, though I'm mostly annoyed. A deep rumble escapes me before I can calm it down. She freezes in place for a few seconds, and her condescending demeanor cracks, though she looks rattled, she also looks more confused than anything.

Anyways, I may as well bait her, would it work if she were to know what I am? She probably already has some sort of idea. Does that mean restraining her would be the only way to have leverage? Yeah, there's no way I'm fighting her head on, surprise attack it is!

As I was thinking of the possibilities, I took a look at her soul and it turns out her own soul is at Tier 4, pretty high if you ask me. Though it looks like she just entered Tier 4, she's just not aware of it. Considering the BS that is DxD though, she'll be joining me at Tier 5 soon.

Anyways, Eve, pay 10,000 SP for the 10 spins and let it roll.

I'll be increasing the gravity around her and then restrain her using my Enkidu. I might be a bit paranoid but it's just like she said, the Ten Pledges no longer bind her so she can literally wipe out the entirety of Tsuoh Town and gain the attention of other powerful beings. Perhaps it's her version of a test of my power? I mean, I highly doubt this sophisticated system will risk a summons running amok.

Ohhh! As expected of my Luck Stats, awesome! Can you begin the download of the books on the iPad Eve? I'm sure it's able to store them all since this iPad is made by the system, at least I hope so.

[ On it. ]

Now while I wait I'll have to answer her already, or was the time I spent on the Gacha not long? Oh well.

My heart pulsates, as I let out a low growl when I breathe out slightly. I then stare straight into her eyes and say, "Indeed, I was the one who summoned you. You say the Ten Pledges no longer bind you, well you are correct. But that does not mean I will let you do what you want in my home. I'm sure I have enough knowledge on me to satiate your thirst for it, plus I'm sure you're wondering why you cannot feel any power coming off of me. It's written all over your face, you know."

Her eyes stay locked onto mine, unmoving, as if trying to uncover every secret hidden within me, but I stay strong and take it head on while I slowly stick my hand out and materialize the iPad packed full of books.

"I admit you have me curious. But do you really think you can tie me down little one? You are far too young to contest against me, a being with enough knowledge and power to go against a Dragonia. Though my spirit circuits have yet to adjust to this strange world and it may take some time to get used to, I have enough power to era- Hmm? What are you holding?"

Looks like this caught her attention, I swear I saw a twinkle in those cross-shaped eyes of hers. Is this because we're in an anime world? "Ah, this is a device capable of holding thousands, perhaps even millions, of books. You could take a look at it right now if you think I am bluffing."

"Haah, haahh… Ahem Hmmmhm, yes… Yes! I must take a close look." Oh God of the Bible, Jibril your cool image has shattered if you start drooling like that. Wait, but does she really hold an interest in those books now that I think about it? Can't she go back to massacering or perhaps books grew on her? Whatever the case, it seems I successfully got her attention to prepare.

"Here you go, you can scroll like this and click on any that strikes your fancy."

"Ohhhhhh! Oh My! What is this?! You, Immanity Chil-"

"Ichijou Ryu, you can call me Ryu."

"Then Ryu, I demand you to give me this device. In exchange, I shall let you live! I will just roam around in some other place. I am most generous, am I not? You Immanity value your short lives don't you?" Jibril… though you sound incredibly arrogant your drooling ruins your whole threatening aura.

Not that it matters since I have been pumping in gravity from my star star fruit into my aura and my hidden materialized chains are in place already. Ah right, I should use my pheromones to help with the persuasion and show off my new Halo. Might as well show my real features. Here goes.

"You're right, we do value our lives. I admit you are strong and you have the privilege to pride yourself on it, but at the same time, I do not agree with you looking down on other races. I mean, for all you know the strong may be disguised as the weak." Ugh, that sounded cringy and stupid. I mean I'm not even fighting her head on, I sounded like a young master who is trying to sound tough… Noooo!

She was about to respond but before she did I let loose a wave of pheromones along with the gravity increase. Because of how aroused she was already, it hit her like a ton of bricks, catching her in a daze, but her reaction time was insane, to the point where she gritted her teeth and almost pounced at me, but that was when my chains materialized right in front of me, and her face was mere inches away from me and she was bound. I honestly didn't want to hurt her, wait can I even hurt her? Yeah, probably not.

Hmm, I seem to have made a miscalculation. Though she was bound, she struggled to free herself and by struggling the chains tightened up and left her in an erotic position, which was totally not my fault. Enkidu was tightened at the top of her breasts and snuggled right under them, but that wasn't the end of it. She tried jumping, but the chains unfortunately went through the middle of her legs and went over her shoulder to tighten up. This wasn't the worst part, remember the pheromones? Yeah, she's panting every time she makes the slightest movement. The teary glare she is giving me point-blank is not helping in any way. How did it end up like this? Though the dragon in me roars in satisfaction, I almost let out a growl unconsciously.

Anyways, I figured bringing out the Halo of Destruction would've been overkill once she found herself in this position so we just stayed there staring at each other before she eventually caved and spoke to me.

"You… you… Haaahh.. Have made your point. Eep! So can you… take these off!... Ahhhn~" Was that a moan?! I'm glad I immediately stored away the iPad when the chains materialized.

"Man, this is incredibly anticlimactic. I'm glad no one got hurt, but this was not how I imagined it to go. I'll let you go if you agree to listen to me, you've already been debriefed about me right, and got full access to my soul?" As I talk to Jibril, I start to dematerialize the chains, ease up the gravity, and disperse the pheromones. Leaving a completely sweaty, sexually stimulated, and teary-eyed Jibril. That's quite the look she has now. I didn't expect this! I swear!

"Though I loathe to admit defeat I did feel the sudden aura of a Dragonian in you, plus the relevant information given to me as soon as I was bound made me ask for my release.. And those chains of yours left me powerless. So, are you a Dragonian?"

Huh, seems like she's confusing the races here. Though she isn't wrong per se… "I am not a Dragonia. I am very much human, but at the same time I am a Dragon," I said and under my breath, "...part demi-god too…"

"What do you mean? How can you be two races at once? And Dragon? Don't you mean Dragonia?"

"It means I am a pure-blooded human who was born from a human mother and father, at the same time I was capable of unlocking a pure-blooded dragon race well something along those lines. It's complicated. Ah right, you came from Disboard. You'll be able to learn all about this world in the books inside the iPad I am giving you anyway," I mutter absentmindedly and then address her directly again, "Shall we get started on the Soul-Bond?"

"Yes, master." Huh? What's with the sudden change in demeanor, is it the books? Why is she panting? Well, I guess she's cooperating so this is a plus… right?
