Before they were able to start their amazing youthful journey, Sebastian was called to the combat instructors office, who apparently had a gift for him before the start of the holidays.
It was somewhat odd, considering that he had gotten a lot of support for being the best, but it would not hurt him to receive even more gifts from such an experienced wizard. Therefore, at 9 o' clock, Sebastian stood in front of the professor's office, knocking it three times.
A moment later, the door opened, and the professor smiled, upon seeing Sebastian and said, "Please, come inside, I am delighted that you managed to come.", inviting Sebastian inside. When they were in the room, the professor gestured Sebastian to sit down on a chair in front of a desk, while sitting down behind it.
"You know, Sebastian, you are very talented. Too much, to be honest.", the professor started a conversation by praising him.
"Before we come to your gift, I would like to talk with you about your talent, your goals and ambitions, if that would be fine by you.", the professor proposed to which Sebastian nodded happily. That wasn't something that would stop him from getting an additional reward.
"Good. Let us start with your talent: Your files are prohibited to read for most of us, like with every other student. To get to know a few things we must either get your or the board's permission and it is a hassle to deal with them. Have you always been talented like this? It must have been obvious even before coming here for sure.", the professor asked.
"No, actually not. Before a certain event late in my childhood, there was only one small case of accidental magic, nothing big. Only after doing the test in the forest did I know that I was talented after I was told about it.", Sebastian replied readily. This wasn't any information that could be harmful to him or his future.
"Wow, that is surprising!", the professor exclaimed before asking another question. "What do you plan to do now, with that amazing talent of yours?"
"Well. I would like to become the strongest. Like that, nobody would be able to make me do their bidding and I could protect my family from harm. And I think that this would be the easiest to accomplish by staying in Germany and even helping on the international level. To be honest, I like Germany a lot, even though there were some dissatisfactory experiences I made with the magical part of Germany.", Sebastian said, not right out saying that he blamed the school.
"That sounds great!", the professor said, but Sebastian could swear that his smile faltered for a second. Must have been an illusion. "I guess your ambitions correspond to your goals? That is mostly the case, but not always."
"Yes, they are the same for me.", Sebastian agreed, understanding the professor's argument.
"Good. Thank you for your honestly. Now, let me show you the gift. If you would please come with me.", the professor said while standing up and pointing towards a door, he opened for Sebastian to walk through.
As Sebastian walked through the door into what looked like another small office, he heard the professor talking in a depressed tone behind him.
"You know, I am really, really sorry. Your talent is just too amazing, and your ambitions could hinder their goal."
Sebastian turned around, somewhat confused, and scared by what the professor said, barely registering the bright, red flash flying towards him. 'A stun- '

-A few minutes later
-In the forest
"Let him go, Winfried.", Professor Krieg said to the combat instructor, walking out of the protection of a tree, taking the combat instructor who levitated Sebastian on his left, by surprise.
"Slash"
"Argh!", Winfried yelled and clutched his left leg. Someone had cut him with a spell from behind.
Sebastian began falling, the professor's focus interrupted, before he began floating again and was pulled into the woods, towards a hiding girl. A few seconds later, Professor Krieg and the combat instructor heard the distinct sound of a portkey teleporting someone away.
"You know I cannot let you go, Winfried. You are the spy we have been searching for. Who are you working for? The Brits? Dumbledore?", Professor Krieg asked, rage apparent in his seemingly calm voice.
"Yes. Dumbledore. He forced a binding pact onto me during the war. I had to tell him about the progress you made, and I had access to. You know, we were the first who thought of Physics in spells, but the just have way more resources. You saw what spells they created after just a few months.", Winfried answered.
"But why the students? Why did you have to go so far?", Professor Krieg asked further, his anger amplifying.
"Because they are a danger to his goal. I either had to kill them or bring them to him, so he could indoctrinate them to build his small little hidden army of youngsters. But this time I had no choice. He wanted him and he still does! He doesn't know Sebastian's name or appearance, just that we have someone with a huge talent and had the idea of implementing Physics.", the combat instructor answered, while looking increasingly tired. "I have to go and report my failure."
"I already told you I can't let you go. And we both now that I am an Elite War Wizards, while you are hurt and barely are a top Hit Wizard.", Professor Krieg answered with a hardened voice. He just could not let him get away with it.
Professor Krieg took out his wand and pointed it at Winfried with an intimidating look.
"GIVE UP!"
"You know I can't. Sorry my friend.", Winfried answered and whipped his wand towards Professor Krieg, a sizzling jet of black flames erupting towards him.
Theodore pulled up his wand, effortlessly redirecting the spell to his right, where it drilled a ten-meter-long hole with a diameter of fifty centimetres diagonally into the ground with turning the surrounding soil black from the heat.
"I know magic far better than you, Winfried. You can't defeat me!", Theodore Krieg roared angrily.
"We will see about that.", Winfried answered, and shot a few silent and wandless spells at Professor Krieg, who put up a bright blue lightning shield, absorbing the spells.
The tendrils of lightning became bigger and stronger, forming the figure of a thunderbird, flying above the ground. The sky began to crackle, and clouds covered the shining sun, immersing the surrounding area in a dark shade.
Winfried realized that if he did not take out his ace, he would have no chance to escape and cast a spell Dumbledore had given him, "Astrum Distortum!"
The space began cracking and the distances to other things seemed to fluctuate around Winfried, who completely overloaded his magical durability.
Suddenly, small centimetres long rifts began appearing and Theodore began to sway, the gravity being amplified or decreased. Sometimes there even was gravity from random directions around him. This spell was dangerous, even for him! It seems he had to step up his game!
"Fulminis Exagitare!", Theodore yelled and waved his hand.
A corona of lightning formed above his head and streams of lightning and electrical energy from the sky, thunderbird and the surrounding atmosphere were pulled into the corona, making it grow and brighten. After it was fully charged, Theodore took the corona with his hand and threw it towards Winfried. The lightning ring grew to a massive size of forty meters and distorted whenever it passed though space rifts or areas of changed distances, creating an obscure scene.
The ring fanned out and the magical lightning began to rotate and shake at an absurd speed, while occasional threats of lightning flew towards the centre of the circle. Winfried had no other option than use his offensive spell to defend, but it was to no avail. The air became increasingly hotter and a small ball of air in the middle of the circle with a radius of ten centimetres began glowing with a white light and even the air around it seemed to bubble because of the heat, while the earth had long since been charred fully black. The ground beneath the ball even began to become liquid.
Suddenly, the ball's size began decreasing and finally became the size of a small marble. In the last second, Professor Krieg apparated away, leaving the ball to detonate with a bright flash. Safe to say, there was no tree, person or even dirt or stone left in a radius of seventy meters.
