Chapter 5 - The book

"URGHHH", Sebastian vomited again. Unluckily, the recruiter wasn't there anymore to vanish it, so when he fell to his knees, he fell right into it. 'Oh god, how I hate this shit.'

A few minutes later, after the vomit was cleaned up and Sebastian had told his parents everything about the trip, Sebastian was finally able to go to his room, open the envelope and take out the book.

It read 'Blackwald 1: A guide for magic and survival'.

'Survival? What do they mean? They told me nearly nothing, I got only one book, and I don't even know what this evaluation was and what my results were. Well…', Sebastian pondered.

After a while, he stopped, giving up as he didn't come to any conclusion and wanted to start reading the book.

'Outline:

Chapter 1: Creatures of the Black Forest

Chapter 2: How to 'camp'

Chapter 3: Food

Chapter 4: Nifty spells for survival

Chapter 5: A guide to hiding

Tips and Tricks'

That was it. Five chapters and only one about magic and he couldn't even practice it.

Resigned, Sebastian skipped to chapter one and began reading.

'The Black Forest has a large amount of varying flora and fauna, starting with normal mundane animals like lynx and ending with hags, trolls, werewolf, dark goblins and a few hidden nachtkrapp living in its very heart.'

'

'Wow', Sebastian was stunned.

'I didn't know there were that many creatures inside of the Black Forest. Sure, I haven't been there in this life, but even in my old one I didn't know half the mundane animals listed. It's very dangerous. Hm… if they give us this book and only this one, then it must have some kind of special meaning.'

'Black Forest… Blackwald Institute… it fits. Maybe the Blackwald Institute is inside of the Black Forest.'

'But why things like 'camping'? The school wouldn't happen to be a camp, right? That would be ridiculous.'

After analysing his situation, Sebatian settled on skimming through the rest of the book for the next few days and that he would concentrate on learning about the creatures as there must be a real reason for them to include a chapter about animals and creatures in the Black Forest. Besides, if the school is in the Black Forest, then he better be learning about all its dangers and even if the only benefit were that he already knows a lot about creatures before it is a topic in school.

For the rest of the two days, Sebastian took time to spend with his family and the rest was spent reading about creatures, taking notes on them, and thinking of possible weaknesses and writing down what he knew about them from Harry Potter though in a way they looked like thoughts and his parents' knowledge.

What surprised him was, that he had never heard of the nachtkrapp, but he came to the conclusion that either they weren't relevant in Harry Potter, or they were different too.

After he spent a night sleeping about his trip to New Coven Market he realised that there were a lot of things that differed from Harry Potter:

Both men were able to do spells without incantation Theodore used magic (the measuring) he had never heard of in Harry Potter or why would Ollivander bother not using it? Fucking flying plateaus! Where did they come from? It was also something he never even heard of in Harry Potter, and it surely couldn't be that Germany was that advanced but never even mentioned in the books. October 31st played a large role in Germany even though the reign of Voldemort was only in Britain. Why? Why was everything so secretive? Squibs didn't even have the chance to buy a lot of books or visiting company headquarters. But that may be something that was just different in Germany.

So yeah, what is happening? Sebastian had asked his parents, but they weren't even allowed to buy a book on wizarding history, therefore this was something that always stayed in the back of his head as he waited at home.

Two days after the visit to New Coven Market, Sebastian stood in the dining room with his parents.

This morning, the cross had started to glow and after Sebastian had taken a closer look at it, he could see small black letters on its surface saying '12:30 o'clock, school clothing and your book, nothing else'.

How there could be that much text on the cross and it still being very well readable was something else Sebastian didn't understand but by now it was normal.

Therefore, Sebastian hugged his parents at 12:25 o'clock and said his goodbyes.

"Watch out for yourself! Eat enough! Write letters to us and give them to us when you are back, okay? And don't forget to make friends. And please come back safely! And –", Sebastian had du interrupt his mother's hastily monologue she held the 4th time this day.

"- and don't forget to learn a lot. I know mother. I love you."

"We love you too.", his parents replied, just as he felt a pull at his body. It wasn't as strong as apparition but enough to make Sebatian closed his mouth shut.

One second later, Sebastian was on his knees. Again.

It felt like a small victory as he didn't get the feeling that he was about to empty his stomach, but he still didn't his mouth until he heard someone say, "Welcome dear Sebastian, the school's safe house. I hope you are alright? Our obliviators are currently on their way to your house to seal your parents' memories and hide your former existence. But don't worry, I know that a lot of children from squib and muggle-families are worried, but their memories will be unsealed when they see you in person for the next time. And alle your stuff will be kept safe in your own personal safe at the bank where you will receive your account after your basic education."

Sebastian just sat on a wooden ground and looked at the lady in front of him while listening to her calming words. She looked around 50 years old and was wearing a long brown dress which went until her ankles. Her arms were covered, and her style looked a bit similar to Molly Weasley, just not completely broke and without style because she didn't have any money from producing too many children.

The woman, who also had a sigil like his own, just with a white staff with two white snakes wriggling around it, like the symbol commonly seen at a pharmacy.

She had a bit of a tan but a nice and comforting smile with two brown, smiling eyes and brown hair bound to a ponytail behind her head.

"Yes, I am alright, thank you. And thank you for your words. This helps me a lot.", he answered.

"I know.", she said and winked at him. "Come with me, ill bring you to the other youngsters. And my name is healer Regina.", Regina said and lead him out of what he realised was an empty small storage room and into a large room with a few long tables and a long kitchen front at one side of the room in front of which were a few well-dressed creatures that looked like house elves.

"Those are our bound house elves. They make the food and clean the house. If you need help with something not very serious you can also ask them for help.", Regina confirmed his thoughts.

She led him out of the room through a large wooden double door and into another rather big rooms which had a few tables with chairs and children sitting at them, several shelves with books, toys and stuff Sebastian didn't know and a door leading outside to a lawn and a small pond he could see a few children swimming in.

"Children, please welcome Sebastian.", Regina said to the children sitting inside.

"""Hello Sebastian."""
