Chapter 18 - chapter 18

2 weeks pass in a blink of an eye, during this time arc had remained within the sect he continued to practice the art dao, and would occasionally spar with Aurora or the spirit bear

Actually at one point he rode on the back of the spirit bear, and they fought in unison against Aurora, though that being their first time ever attempting to fight together, there was no real teamwork

Aurora easily defeated them without needing to rely on her higher cultivation

Arc had also checked in with the librarian and they had discussed information around Arc new possibly techniques

The technique is still only a rough draft, but it is currently cultivable, using it now before it was competed

would only be so that when the technique is finished his foundation would have already been altered to fit the technique

Arc decided against it and continued to use his old technique in the meantime, as he wouldn't want to take risks with a half competed technique

Currently Arc was painting using several techniques he learned in the book, his pen ran fast and he didn't once dip it in ink, his aura changed color freely and blended forming new colors and patterns

When Arc finished the painting he put down his pen and became admiring what he had drew, it was another painting of Aurora,

he learned his lesson from last-time didn't attempt to draw her soul, even though he didn't draw the soul the quality of this painting surpassed the rest he has made, reaching a much higher level

Arc looked deeply into the picture, with a big smile on his face before, thinking to himself

'I've gotten much better at painting, if i were on earth i could quite easily had become one of the greatest painters in the world'

"Hehe, Aurora did mention that when realm traveling there are realm with no spirit qi or very little spirit qi, perhaps i could be suited for traveling between them"

Arc muttered to himself, without any real intention

He headed towards the forge, as he had gotten an idea of something he could attempt to forge

"If this works it would be pretty cool"

Arc said excitedly

He has been hard at work these past 2 weeks and has decided to reward himself by making something he had seen in a novel

After arriving to the forge he entered the room and found that his forge aid seemed terrified, he spoke quietly and seemed to not want to be in a room with Arc

This treatment reminded arc that currently he is a core disciple, ordinary disciples have to walk around on thin ice to not offend them

It seems that the sect master still had his work cut out for him, he has been doing his best to limit the hatred between the ranks within the sect to prevent infighting,

Cultivator's by nature want to be superior than others after all they are only human

"Prepare the Earth fire, and bring out meteorite, runic iron, and purple gold"

Arc spoke quickly, as he was ready to forge, and this would be the most complicated build yet

While his aid prepared the forge and materials Arc made several molds that would be used

The molds were of sheets of metal, as well as gears and other parts

The fire burned bright as the metals mixed and fused, Arc fueled the liquid metal with endless pure spirit qi, increasing the quality of the metal

Arc poured the metal within the various molds that he created, the aid was closely behind him quietly wondering what Arc was making

Arc qi and ki, endlessly blending into the materials, his control over his aura has increased significantly due to his painting practice

This aura blended nicely into the metal allowing it to be tempered and hardened, making it suitable for the purpose Arc had in mind

What exactly was Arc making? That would be a boat, or rather a flying boat, he had no real need for it,

this was for fun, as well as an experiment for possible mechanisms, he can use in future endeavors

After the metals within the molds all cooled down Arc pulled them out of and began organizing them individually,

He then grabbed the large metal sheets and began heating sections and hammering them to shape,

After the sheets took the form that he wanted he lined them up having that aid hold them in place allowing him to weld the sheets together,

Due to being an earth element cultivator his understanding of Earth and metal are astonishing, he has no need for a welding machine, using his own aura creates a stronger and quicker weld,

The only difference from his welds of before, this time he used no filler metal, he directly used his aura to fuse the materials,

a combination of technique's he learned from Aurora and another he learned in the Art book, it was an idea he had and it worked quite well,

"Perfect, now that's the easy part done"

Arc spoke cheerfully and began to work on the next step, he placed together various parts from the molds he had created

This part was much more complicated, as not only did he have to place all the pieces together, he took each individual piece and engraved markings upon them

Sweat ran down his face but his hand remained steady, the forge aid behind him seemed to have stopped breathing as he thought to himself

'These engraving are so detailed, how could he possibly do that so easily, no wonder he is a core disciple'

Arc engraves were not a cosmetic feature, they actually had a purpose. The engraving were formed of various runes that have certain effects when fueled with spirit qi

Arc had learned these in the Arc dao book, lots of the techniques written in the book used color and shading to blend in the runes without being visible

This allows the painting to gain certain abilities or have certain characteristics, that normally wouldn't be possible

He used certain rune combinations that he believed would lead to a fast flying boat

After finishing the engravings, he began assembling the pieces into the parts that would be placed within the boat

The most difficult being something that looked to be a propeller, as well as long the steering mechanism he had miss calculated the size and caused it to be a tighter fit than he expected

"Well i could just add a ķðcæ rune, that would limit the friction so it wouldn't be an issue as long as the runes are frequently maintained"

Arc muttered to himself adding the rune, he moved the steering wheel and watched the change in direction on the propeller

"Yes that seems to be in working order"

Arc spoke happily

Arc took it apart and began to assemble them within the boat, he had done so outside to confirm any problems, with the problems being addressed he just had to assemble it

After fully assembling the boat it was now complete, and Arc being in a good mood, awarded the forge aid with some spirit stones

His eyes turned bright as he spoke

"Thank You sir"

Arc nodded slightly before placing the boat within his spirit and leaving the forge he rushed to the first peak ready to try out the boat

When he finally arrived he pull the boat out of his spirit ring, hopped inside and started channeling hjs spirit qi within it

I took to the sky's, at first he couldn't maneuver quickly as he had no experience flying a boat, but his control over his body, as well as his qi are extremely powerful leading him to quickly learn

"This is awesome!"

Arc flew around in circles and did flips and tricks, it seemed that he was louder than normal as a few people went out to see the commotion

Mia's eyes went wide and she spoke quickly

"That's so cool! Let me do it"

"Sure"

Arc obliged

This "taking turns" lasted quite a bit longer as the other students of the grand elders also thought it was cool

They had heard of a form spirit boat, but those are massive and need the cultivation of golden core or nascent soul to pilot, as they are used for realm and space traveling

they had never seen a small one like this, what he did is this world's equivalent of bringing a sports card to school and letting everyone drive and mess around with it

"Can i keep it, can i keep it"

Mia spoke expectantly after everyone else left

"Sure"

Arc said as he thought to himself

'I see a lot of points in which I could improve it, it wouldn't hurt to let her have this one and just make a better one'

"Thankyou"

Mia had a big smile as she took the spirit boat and flew off randomly

Arc decided to call it a day and went up to his room and went to bed
