Arc thought to himself, but realized that he has completely his foundation plan, all he has left is to cultivate
Due to not currently having a technique he is unable to increase his qi cultivation, but that isn't the only form of cultivation
He can still forge, he can still draw, these are forms of cultivation, to cultivate the control over the body and soul
Arc decided to dedicate this time to drawing, if Wuji returns he will forge for him, but if he doesn't he will just focus on drawing for now
He grabbed his notebook and countless images flew through his mind many real, many fake, Arc's eyes couldn't help but tear
He looked inwards to find inspiration to draw and he couldn't help but remember his past life, the good and the bad
Reincarnation was fun, and he felt joy in this world, but he couldn't help but miss everything that he lost,
his pen moved slowly and steadily, yet his other hand shook, he felt the tears running down his face as he drew something that had much importance to his past
He drew sections of his life, its seemed like a shattered glass that reflected each individual thing that he had lost
Within the pieces one could see his home, the silhouette of his family, and friends, and all the memories he made with them
Then halfway through the drawing it stopped breaking, it was in once piece, for it has yet to be lost
He drew his new home, he drew the silhouette of Aurora and the librarian, he drew the home he now lives in the first peak,
The tears stopped flowing when he reached the second half of the drawing, he was aware that he has lost much and he has gained much
He knows that it will probably not be possible to return to earth, but that doesn't mean he should forget about his roots,
He is from earth, his name may have changed, his blood may have changed, his soul may have changed, but this truth will never change
Arc hand began to slow as he reached the bottom he then wrote
'Archean of the black mountain sect'
He looked deeply into the painting, his breathing became heavy before slowly returning to a calm, he looked up and it was obvious that he had cried
He snapped his fingers and his ki made the painting burst into flames, as his eyes were filled with resolve
"Thankyou"
He muttered lightly to seemingly no one in particular, before clearing up the ashes
He felt better after that drawing, it helped resolve some of the pent up emotions he was feeling
Arc stood up and left his room, he was hungry, all these memories had made him nostalgic, he was craving a taste of his home
He walked towards the kitchen and began preparing some food, he grabbed a few potatoes and cut them the long way, he then mixed them in certain spices
After that he grabbed some beef, and prepared a few patties,
He began seasoning them, shaping them
He took out a pot and filled it with oil, and dropped the potatoes, that were now french fries, he then set the grill to and placed the patties
He grilled the burgers, and the assembled them, unlike last time he had buns made this time, so he put the burgers together
After a while the fries also finished, and Arc put his plate together, a few burgers and plenty of french fries, a good reminder of this home and the food he used to enjoy frequently
Arc sat down and began to eat calmly it tasted much better than the first time, while eating he couldn't help but think about cultivation and painting
'If I can paint the souls of people, could I paint the soul of a location?, after all the world itself has spirit qi so shouldn't that show off to the fact that it in essence has a soul?'
While, the thought intrigued him. It wasn't something that he could currently do; souls are only something he could see vaguely
Perhaps when he reaches a higher level of cultivation, it would be something that he could attempt
Suddenly a voice appeared behind him
"So thats where you were"
Arc turned when he heard the voice, it was an old man, Arc has never seen him before, but considered their location he is mostly a grand elder
Arc bowed his head lightly as he spoke
"grand elder"
The old man seemed amused, as he spoke
"You must be Arc, i've heard much about you, this is our first time meeting so I'll introduce myself, i am luton"
Arc's eyes went wide this was luton, the strongest in the sect, a nascent soul cultivator
Before Arc could interject luton continued to speak
"Your painting method of understanding the soul, was quite novel, i wish i had learned it when i was a golden core"
" When I broke through my nascent soul was fairly weak, compared to the same level cultivators, so I had no choice, but to reach the highest level of spellcraft, to have comparable strength"
"But with this, I could possibly repair my foundation, no promises yet, but if it does work, you've done a great service to the sect"
Luton nodded slightly as he spoke before reaching into his spirit ring and handing a book over to Arc
Arc looked at the book and say that it was a painting technique,
"A painting technique?"
Luton began explaining
" I see you have potential in painting, that in itself is a form of cultivation, thus it is possible to get certain techniques that have certain effects"
" I got that one as soon as I heard about your painting, it was actually rather annoying to get as I had to head to the central continent"
Luton rubbed his head seemingly remembering a annoying thing
Arc bowed and gave thanks to luton
" don't worry about it, if you learn anything from the book, just pass me a painting as a gift"
He spoke lightly with a smile before heading off
Arc looked at the book and felt excited and began reading it, it detailed movement of qi, meridians to activate, and so much more
It seemed like a key to a new world to Arc, most of it he couldn't yet understand, but he knew that if he mastered the techniques in the book he would become a cultivatoring painting expert
" I wasn't even that good at painting before, I was basically just relying on my super high physical abilities"
" this book focuses on the technical aspects of painting, and combining that with the cultivation aspects"
Arc muttered as he read the book seemingly enchanted, it seemed to cover all the basic information someone who wanted to become a better painter would know
Then the basic information looped into the advance information, it was well formatted and Arc couldn't help but feel whoever wrote this book was a master of the craft
Arc immediately headed to his room, and began practicing, unlike before he wasn't drawing anything in particular, he was just practicing the techniques written in the book
A better way to blend the colors, ways to imbue your aura to change the effects of colors, or to layer images
"Ha that's interesting, by using my aura, I can make certain images appear and disappear, so by layering pictures, I could technically animate something"
Arc muttered lightly
He continued to practice all sorts of strange and interesting methods, and found that each of them seemed funner than the last
He decided to test out the "animation" technique he didn't use that many layers only around 30 but he caused it to loop making it appear though the drawn person would walk forever, or at the very least until he stopped fueling it with his qi
"That's pretty cool"
Arc spoke casually as he continued to practice, this was fun and he was learning new ways to paint, these are techniques that do not exist on earth
He continued to practice and draw for the rest of the day
