The days felt as if they were coming quick and fast. Makoto sat outside his house, embracing the cool breeze that blanketed the village.
His soon-to-be fight with Raidon swamped his mind. The thought of dying struck chords in his heart he never knew existed. Having just bonded with Daisuke as father and son, knowing that these could be his last few days sat uneasy within him.
If he were younger, in his prime, he wouldn't have given this fight a seconds thought. Now that Makoto is older, he is aware of his physical weaknesses.
As he sat there, day dreaming into the distance, he saw Sakutarō and Kotoba approaching.
The sight of Makoto lit up their faces. Makoto was happy to see Sakutarō and Kotoba getting on well, knowing that both of them had been through such horrible situations.
"You two okay?" Makoto called out.
"Yes, we're fine!" Sakutarō called in response, Kotoba holding up both his arms with his thumbs up.
