Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7: MOVE IN

" please stop Francis" she finally said in between breath, he looked at her a bit surprised. She definitely wanted it, he knew she wanted it,he was sure she wanted him as much as he wanted her or maybe he was just being optimistic.

"I'm sorry" he finally said breathing hard as he relaxed his forehead on her shoulder

"It's fine"she finally said. He looked into her eyes, they both knew they wanted each other, this wasn't just a mere desires . She was only trying to protect herself and that was fine , he planned on not trying again

"Get a room" a Random elderly man said as he passes them standing in front of the door.

Giggling a bit at how they nonchalantly almost had sex in front of their room door

"This is going to be a long night " he finally said smiling a bit, Sophia stole a soft kiss from his lips

" I don't think I'm ready for this, as much a I want to, I don't want to mix business and pleasure and I hope you understand" she finally said as Francis pulled away from her standing upright from her

"Sure I totally understand, I'll get another room. I think it's better, I don't want to lure you into anything you're not sure of cause I'm not sure how long I can hold myself" she caught a glimpse of his dentition as she spoke.

She battled in her mind if she was liking him already, maybe she liked him but not enough to act on her feelings

He didn't come into the room with her , Francis got another room immediately and his bags were packed to the other room as soon as possible. They hardly saw each other, maybe breakfast, garden walks and swimming lessons. That was all. She didn't mind the distance, her head was not so clouded with the thought of him . But she missed him being in her personal space, she missed how they bantered about silly things and how they annoyed each other, smiling a bit as the thought of him crossed her mind too maybe times, but she always shoved it down with work or something else to keep her mind busy

Francis on the other hand found it difficult staying without her, as much as he wanted to be close to her, he decided to respect the distance between both of them. She meant it when she said business was purely business and he needed to get that straight

" we're leaving for 11am tomorrow morning" sipping the tea from her cup, Sophia's eyes were fixed on Francis as he spoke

"You've grown out your beards" she couldn't help but compliment the obvious difference in his beard length

"Yeah, would get a trim when I'm back to the states" he bite from the piece of sandwich he held close to his mouth

She studied the way he chewed, it was soft and nice like he Savored the food with his tongue. The inaudible chatter from the dinning was a bit louder today, it was the last day at the resort for them but there were a lot of new faces in the dinning

" I like the way you chew" she finally said stretching to take a piece of bread from the little basket on the table

"Should I take that as a complement " he asked wiping his mouth with a napkin

"I don't know, just wanted to state the obvious "

"Seems someone is flirting " he teased her and she smiled warmly

" I'm not, I'm just stating the obvious "

"Okay, I like how you snore at night" he definitely missed teasing her a lot

"I don't snore francis" she said in total denial trying hard to stop herself from smiling at him

"I can bet my stars you do"

"Okay, maybe when I'm tired, tipsy or …" she made a long pause thinking

"Or" he waited for her to complete the statement

"I don't know, I snore when I'm tired and tipsy"

"And that's the only time we've slept in the same room, so it's valid for me to say you snore" he smiled at her . He knew he had won

Crossing her hand over her chest a bit she couldn't protest, she missed their little banters and arguments tho

It was the last day in the resort, she could say she had a lovely experience, she really needed the tan, the ambience and little adventures

"That's by the way" she finally said as she continues eating not willing to stroke his ego that he was right

"It's cute tho" their eyes met softly, she didn't want to hold too long a gaze so she smiled at sipped from her cup

Francis had thought of what to do when they get back from their supposed honeymoon, he wasn't sure he was going to move in with her, it was a topic they shoved under the carpet for way too long

Clearing his throat a bit, he tried managing his words

"So when are you moving into my house" he looked at her to see her reaction

"Uhm, maybe a week from now . I just need to get my things arranged and I'll move " he was surprised, what had changed

"Really"

"I'm definitely joking Francis, I can't move in with you"

"We're married"

"Oh please"she rolled her eyes

"We need to make this believable, we can't be staying in two separate houses

That's for sure"

"Oh goodness, okay I'll move in on one condition " she bargained a bit

"And said what's that "

"I have a separate room from yours"

"Obviously"

"And …."

"Sophia, as much as I know you don't want this, I sure don't also. Let's just make this work. You don't have to do anything with me, we can co-exist without crossing each others boundaries, okay" she felt a bit relaxed when he said so, she didn't want to get ahead of herself by having to be intimate with him

" I don't know yet, I can't say right now I'm going to move in with you. It's best we just act like we live together. I don't know how but I think that will work"

"And how's that's going to work Sophia"

" I don't know, you rent an apartment in the pent house I stay, I think that's going to be believable "

"Come to think of it" he weighed her options sincerely, he could move into her pent house for a year and no one will know they don't stay in the same house

"All we need to do, is come out of the building together like we live together, that's all " she explained her tactics to him, smiling a bit he was impressed

"Sure that's fine, you can contact the realtor if there's an available space in the penthouse and we're good to go " that was all said, and they both enjoyed their breakfast. Sophia was happy, she got what she wanted and that was all that mattered

The flight back home was a bit exhausting. Laying on her bed she let out a sigh

"You need to shower " Francis said over in the living room

She had invented Francis over to see her pent house, if he would like it before he paid for an apartment

"Definitely, I think I need another vacation" she grumbled a bit sitting up to the pounding headache on her left side. She hadn't felt her migraine in a week . It was definitely New York's air

"Says someone that barked at me when we were going " he smiled as he stood at the door of her bed room

"I didn't bark at you Francis"

"I don't think I have the time, energy to sit under the sun and drink cocktail in an island" he mimicked her a bit as she recalled their conversation clearly

"Oh goodness, Francis " his audible laugh as she felt embarrassed at how she reacted that day

" what are you looking for" he asked her as she tirelessly searched into her travel bag

"My pills, I'm having a migraine so I need to take my pills" she explained placing her palm over her eyes a bit as the pain increased

"May I" he asked standing at the door of her bedroom before entering into her room

"Yes please " she ushered him in

"I know something that can help"

" what's that" she looked up at Francis who towered over her as she sat on the bed

" you just need to put your feet in ice cold water"

"Really" Sophia couldn't help but laugh at how silly the suggestion was

" yes Sophia" he sounded believable tho

" I need my pills they'll help a lot, the flight was long I'm sure that's what triggered it "

"Okay, if you don't your pills can you at-least try that"

Francis helped her, her feet was submerged in a bowl of ice water and she couldn't believe it helped . She had left her pills in the resort and she didn't have a refill

"Does that feel better" he asked sitting a across the room from her

" yes it is" she relaxed a bit on the pillows he had arranged for her to sit in an upright position

"Thank you Francis" she finally said drifting off to sleep a bit

Francis came close to her and pecked her forehead softly

"Good night Sophia" she said and left.
