Chapter 32 - The Hunter I

The two girls were surrounded now, their backs against the wall as the mob closed in. Mira's breath hitched, but she tried to remain strong. She stood in front of Haeun, shielding her friend as best she could, but her hands trembled, and she could feel the cold sweat running down her back.

The leader of the mob walked up to them, smirking as he looked at Mira's futile stance. "What's this? Are you going to protect her?" he mocked, his voice dripping with cruelty.

Mira's heart raced, but she refused to back down. "Don't come any closer," she warned, though her voice quivered.

The leader laughed, a sound that sent chills down Mira's spine. "Cute," he said, his hand raising to signal his men. "Let's see how tough you really are—"

But before he could touch her, a loud crash interrupted the tension. Screams erupted from behind the mob, and everyone turned, even the leader's mocking expression vanishing as his eyes widened in shock.

One of the mob members flew past, landing in a heap on the ground, blood pooling beneath him, his body twisted at an unnatural angle. The crowd parted instinctively, revealing a figure who stood tall and imposing—a lean, muscular presence that radiated raw power. Broad shoulders, a defined chest, and arms honed from years of combat spoke of an athleticism that was both intimidating and mesmerizing.

A man emerged from the shadows, his long bangs obscuring his face as he moved with a grace that belied the sheer power he wielded. In a fluid motion, he grabbed two of the mob members, slamming them into the ground with an unforgiving force. Their heads caved in upon impact, creating a crater in the asphalt, blood splattering across the pavement like a grotesque painting. The sound echoed, a sickening crunch that sent a wave of dread through the crowd.

His black eyes, stark and haunting with white pupils, locked onto the leader with a deadly calm that felt almost otherworldly. The sight froze the entire mob in place, their bravado evaporating as they instinctively took a step back. He stood there, taut and coiled like a predator ready to strike, his jaw clenched so tightly that veins bulged from his neck, a testament to the anger simmering just beneath the surface.

"Who the hell are you?" the leader stammered, trying to mask his fear with bravado. But his voice wavered, betraying the tremor in his hands.

Daniel, who had been pinned down moments ago, struggled to sit up, his own eyes widening at the figure. The man's massive shoulders and tightly defined muscles were unmistakable, even through his loose clothing. His neck-length hair framed his sharp features, giving him an intimidating presence. "Kevin?" Daniel muttered, recognition hitting him.

The leader of the mob took a hesitant step back, clenching his fists.

Haeun, standing behind Mira, gasped softly, "Kevin…"

Without turning around, Kevin spoke, his deep voice steady and unwavering. "I don't know who your cowardly leader is," he said, each word dripping with contempt, "but trying to use a girl as a pawn in a fight between men?" His tone was laced with quiet disgust, a palpable disdain for the tactics employed by the mob.

Daniel, still in shock, gritted his teeth. Kevin? Isn't he the one who took Haeun by force at the school festival? His frustration bubbled up, especially seeing the mob surrounding them. "Hey!" Daniel shouted, trying to regain some control over the situation. "Help out here!"

Kevin didn't even bother looking at him. Instead, he glanced back with a disgusted expression. "Weak," he muttered, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear.

The mob leader's face twisted in fury, his anger boiling over. "Hey, you're just one man! Let us take the girl, and we'll let you walk away. You can't possibly take us all on!" he said as the guys around tensed up ready to fight.

Kevin remained unfazed. He pulled out a cigarette with a casual nonchalance that seemed to mock the threat looming before him. Lighting it, he exhaled a plume of smoke into the air, the tension thickening around them. The sight of him, relaxed and confident, sent ripples of unease through the mob.

"You know," Kevin said, his voice low but slicing through the silence, "it doesn't matter what I do from this moment on. The second you even thought to harm her—" he gestured toward Haeun, still trembling behind Mira— "you signed your death warrant."

With a dismissive flick of his hand, he brushed his hair back, the movement fluid and easy. A chuckle escaped his lips, but there was no warmth in it. "I feel pity for your leader. Even I'm scared of that Demon, and you decided to mess with his sister ?"

A collective shiver ran through the crowd at the mention of Toji, the "Devil Child" the leader of Division. His name alone was enough to elicit fear, whispered in hushed tones among those who knew the extent of his brutality.

It wasn't just his frightening demeanor or his cold-blooded nature—it was the sheer violence he unleashed in every fight, leaving destruction in his wake. Breaking bones, shattering skulls, ripping through muscles, and pummeling faces into the ground disfiguring their faces; he was the most violent of all the crews combined.

Daniel struggled against the mob that held him back, his frustration boiling over. "Hey! There are a lot of people here! Let me help!" He squirmed, desperate to break free and prove himself, but the weight of the mob pinned him down, rendering him helpless.

The leader's bravado faltered slightly under Kevin's unwavering gaze. "You think you can take us all on? You're just one man!" he shouted, trying to rally his crew.

Kevin's expression twisted into a smile, all teeth showing, his reverse eyes wide and gleaming with madness. The eerie glow of his pupils contrasted sharply with the intensity of his demeanor, creating an unsettling aura

"A sissy bitch like you might be overwhelmed when you see numbers like these. You might even lose the will to fight." His gaze locked onto the leader, and the grin on his face morphed into something far more sinister. "But who cares about any of that? I'm stronger than all of them."

Kevin's words hung in the air, charged with a volatile mix of arrogance and brutality. The mob's bravado crumbled as he lunged into the fray, an unstoppable force of raw power. The first thug barely had time to register the danger before Kevin's fist connected with a sickening crack, sending him sprawling to the pavement. Blood sprayed like paint from a shattered canvas, splattering against the alley walls in a grotesque display of violence.

"Is that all you've got?" Kevin taunted, his voice dripping with disdain as he turned his gaze to the next target, a burly man charging at him with a baseball bat. The thug swung hard, but Kevin ducked beneath the blow, pivoting on his heel to land a devastating uppercut that sent the man crashing backward, his bat clattering uselessly to the ground.

The alley transformed into a chaotic battleground, screams and shouts filling the air as more members of the mob rushed in. Kevin moved like a whirlwind, effortlessly dodging their attacks while delivering punishing blows. He grabbed one thug by the collar and slammed him into the wall, the impact causing a sickening crunch as the man's head bounced off the concrete.

"Come on! Is this really all you can throw at me?" he shouted, reveling in the adrenaline that surged through his veins. Each punch landed with bone-crushing force, sending bodies crumpling to the ground, while blood splattered across his shirt and skin, painting him as a portrait of violence.

As the mob closed in, Kevin's movements became more fluid, a dance of destruction that left chaos in his wake. He grabbed another thug's arm, twisting it painfully behind his back before driving his knee into the man's spine. The thug howled in agony, his body buckling as Kevin released him, allowing him to collapse to the ground.

"Next!" Kevin growled, his eyes blazing with excitement. The remaining members hesitated, glancing at one another, uncertainty creeping into their ranks. But the leader, determined to prove his dominance, stepped forward, trying to rally his men.

"Get him! Don't let him take you down like this!" he shouted, desperation creeping into his voice.

With a renewed roar, the mob surged forward, and Kevin met them head-on. He caught one man's fist, twisted it, and drove his palm into the thug's face, shattering the nose with a sickening crunch. Blood sprayed as Kevin followed up with an elbow strike, sending the man crashing into the ground, moaning in pain.

Amidst the chaos, the mob leader watched, fury boiling within him. "You think you can take us all on?" he yelled, trying to instill some semblance of courage in his men. But as Kevin continued his assault, it was clear that their confidence was wavering.

Kevin's eyes locked onto the leader, a predatory glint shining within them. "You should really learn to pick your battles," he said, his tone taunting. The leader's bravado cracked, but he was determined to stand his ground. He charged at Kevin, fists swinging wildly.

Kevin sidestepped with ease, letting the leader's fist fly past him. He countered with a quick jab to the gut, causing the leader to double over. But before he could react, Kevin followed up with an uppercut that sent him sprawling onto the ground, gasping for breath.

The leader struggled to regain his footing, blood trickling from his mouth as he wiped it away with a trembling hand. "You think you can scare me?" he spat, defiance shining in his eyes despite the fear creeping in.

Kevin chuckled darkly, his gaze unwavering. "You're not scared? Then let's see how you hold up against the real thing."

He lunged forward, throwing a combination of punches that landed with brutal precision. Each blow was met with a sickening thud, and the leader struggled to defend himself, the pain coursing through his body. Kevin's fists were relentless, fueled by a hunger for violence and a desire to make an example out of this coward.

As Kevin delivered blow after punishing blow, the remaining mob members faltered, their resolve crumbling. They began to back away, fear evident in their eyes as they witnessed their leader being thoroughly dismantled.

But Kevin wasn't done yet. He relished in the chaos, the bloodshed, the screams of agony. He grabbed the leader by the collar and hoisted him up, the man's feet dangling off the ground. "You thought you could intimidate me, huh?" he growled, his breath hot with rage. "You're nothing but a pest."

With that, he slammed the leader down onto the asphalt, the impact creating a crater beneath them. The mob leader gasped, a mix of shock and pain coursing through him. Kevin leaned in closer, his voice low and menacing. "I'm going to make you wish you never crossed me."

He pulled out a cigarette, lighting it with a casual flick of his lighter. The flames danced before him as he took a deep drag, the smoke curling into the air. Then, with a devilish grin, he leaned down, bringing the cigarette to the leader's mouth.

"Here, have a smoke," he said mockingly, punching the cigarette into the man's mouth with such force that the ember lodged itself inside, choking him.

The leader's eyes widened in horror, sputtering and gagging as he tried to pull the cigarette free. But Kevin wasn't finished.

The alley was thick with tension as Kevin zeroed in on the mob leader, a predator locking onto its prey. With a primal roar, he charged forward, his body a blur of muscle and fury. The first strike landed hard, a devastating punch that shattered the leader's nose. Blood erupted in a crimson spray, splattering across the pavement as the leader staggered backward, disbelief etched on his face.

Kevin followed with a relentless flurry of strikes, each punch finding its mark with brutal precision. He slammed his fist into the leader's gut, driving the air from his lungs in a forceful exhalation. The leader doubled over, gasping, but Kevin was merciless. He grasped the leader's hair, yanking him upright, and delivered a bone-crunching uppercut that sent the man flying into the concrete wall.

The impact echoed like thunder, and the leader's body crumpled to the ground, dazed and bleeding. Kevin loomed over him, a towering figure of raw power, his fists clenched and ready. Without hesitation, he delivered a series of vicious kicks to the leader's ribs, each blow landing with sickening cracks as bones broke beneath the force.

As the leader writhed in agony, his screams filled the air, a desperate sound of pain that echoed off the alley walls. "No! Please! Stop!" he pleaded, but Kevin was unrelenting, a force of nature fueled by rage.

Kevin grabbed the leader's arm and twisted it violently. The sickening sound of cracking bone filled the air, followed by another scream that pierced the night. The leader's face contorted in agony as he fell silent, his consciousness slipping away.

But Kevin wasn't finished. He yanked the leader up again, dragging him to his feet. With a fierce snarl, he slammed him into the wall once more, the force of the impact creating a crater in the brickwork. The leader slumped, his body barely able to support itself, blood pooling around his feet.

Kevin stepped back, surveying the damage he had inflicted. The leader was a mess of bruises and broken bones, but the fight had just begun. With a savage roar, Kevin launched himself forward again, this time grabbing the leader by the throat. He squeezed, cutting off the air supply, while delivering rapid punches to the leader's stomach. Each strike was like a hammer hitting flesh, the sickening sound echoing in the alley, accompanied by the leader's choked cries.

The leader's face turned a ghastly shade of purple as he struggled for breath, his voice cracking in desperation. "Help! Someone! Please!" he screamed, but Kevin was relentless. He slammed him down onto the ground, bringing his foot crashing down on the leader's chest. The sound of air rushing from the leader's lungs was a pathetic wheeze, drowning in the blood pooling around him.

Kevin then turned his attention to the leader's limbs. With methodical precision, he grabbed the leader's arm and twisted it. The snap of bone resounded like a gunshot, and the leader screamed in agony, a raw sound that reverberated through the alley. Kevin watched with cold satisfaction as the leader writhed in pain.

Without pausing, Kevin moved to the leader's leg, his foot connecting with the knee in a brutal kick. The joint buckled grotesquely, a sickening crunch that silenced any remaining bravado from the leader. The man collapsed, hands clutching his ruined leg, tears streaming down his face as he fought against the agony.

Kevin towered over him, panting heavily, his own adrenaline surging. He reached down, grabbing the leader by the collar and lifting him up with ease. The leader's face was a mask of terror, blood and sweat mingling as he realized the true extent of his defeat.

With an almost casual cruelty, Kevin threw the leader against the wall again, the impact sending shockwaves through the alley. He followed with a knee to the face, smashing the leader's skull against the concrete. The sound of cracking bone was sickening, a final nail in the coffin of the leader's bravado. The leader's screams became incoherent as he lost consciousness, his body crumpling to the ground.

Kevin stood back, his chest heaving, but he wasn't done yet. He moved in, grabbing the leader by the hair and lifting him once more, his eyes blazing with fury. He delivered a series of punishing blows, each one accompanied by the leader's desperate pleas for mercy. "Please! I can't take it anymore! Stop!" The cries fell on deaf ears as Kevin's fists rained down like a storm, the leader's screams growing fainter with each impact.

With one final burst of energy, Kevin stepped back and delivered a final, punishing kick that connected with the leader's head. The force sent the man sprawling to the ground, unconscious and broken, blood pooling around him in a grotesque halo.

Around them, the remaining mob members were paralyzed with fear, witnessing their leader's utter humiliation. Kevin stood tall, panting heavily as he surveyed the wreckage he had wrought, blood covering him like war paint. He felt alive, electric with adrenaline and violence.

With a final roar, Kevin launched himself at the remaining mob members, a whirlwind of fury. He tackled one thug to the ground, the two rolling across the pavement as Kevin delivered punishing blows, his fists a blur of motion. The thug struggled to fight back, but Kevin's strength was overwhelming, and soon he lay motionless beneath him, bloodied and defeated.

Another thug rushed at Kevin, swinging a metal pipe. But with a swift sidestep, Kevin dodged the attack and retaliated with a knee to the man's face, breaking his nose and sending him crashing into the wall.

"Is this all you've got?" Kevin taunted, his voice dripping with contempt. "You're nothing but a bunch of cowards!"

The remaining thugs hesitated, fear evident in their eyes. One by one, they began to back away, their bravado evaporating in the face of Kevin's brutality. The leader lay on the ground, gasping for air, the cigarette still wedged in his mouth, a mocking symbol of his defeat.

As the last thug turned to run, Kevin grabbed him by the collar, yanking him back. "Not so fast!" he growled, delivering a crushing punch to the man's jaw. The thug fell to the ground, unconscious.

Kevin stood amidst the chaos, panting heavily, his body slick with sweat and blood. The alley was littered with the remnants of the fight, bodies sprawled across the pavement, moans of pain filling the air. It was a scene of utter devastation, and Kevin basked in the aftermath of his fury.

With a final glance at the leader, who lay unconcious on the ground, Kevin stepped back, a satisfied grin spreading across his face. "Don't worry if you guys are not satisfied because I'm sure he will find each and every one of you,"

Kevin clicked his tongue in frustration as he surveyed the scene before him. The alley was now swarming with a new mob, a sea of bodies clad in matching jackets, their numbers ten times larger than the previous group he had just dismantled. Each face bore a menacing scowl, and the air crackled with hostility as they closed in,

He could win; he always had. The recent training under that monster had honed his skills, sharpening his instincts and pushing his limits further than he ever thought possible. He had fought through pain, learning to channel his rage into raw power. And now, standing before this overwhelming horde, he felt the familiar rush of adrenaline. The prospect of battle ignited something primal within him—a desire to dominate, to unleash chaos.

But then his gaze flickered to Haeun, who stood frozen behind Mira. The fear in her eyes pierced through the haze of aggression swirling in his mind. She was watching him, her expression a mixture of anxiety and trust.

He could feel the dangerous methods he had learned bubbling to the surface, ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice. But with Haeun here, he couldn't let himself go down that path. Not again.

As the chaos unfolded outside, Jinchang lounged in a corner of the café, a smug smile creeping across his face as he watched the scene play out. The sounds of fists connecting with flesh mixed with shouts and muffled cries reached his ears, a symphony of violence that only fueled his amusement. He took a leisurely sip from his drink, feigning nonchalance as the turmoil escalated.

A member of his crew leaned closer, uncertainty etched across his features. "What if we fail to catch Haeun?" he asked, the tremor in his voice betraying his confidence. His eyes flickered nervously toward the brawl, where Jinyoung was being beaten mercilessly.

Jinchang paused, the question hanging in the air like a dark cloud. Then, a deep, booming laugh erupted from his chest, slicing through the tension. "You think it's that easy?" he sneered, his laughter echoing in the dimly lit space. The absurdity of the question struck him as hilarious, and the others in the vicinity joined in, chuckling nervously at their leader's reaction.

But the laughter was short-lived. Jinchang's expression twisted into a grimace, and he suddenly grabbed the ashtray from the table, his movements swift and deadly. He swung it with all his might, the metal crashing into the guy's mouth with a sickening crunch. "THEN WE DIE, YOU FUCKER!" he roared, his voice dripping with venom.

The room fell silent for a heartbeat, the laughter snuffed out like a candle in a storm. The other members exchanged nervous glances, the weight of Jinchang's fury palpable in the air. It was clear that he wouldn't tolerate failure—not now, when Haeun Park was the key to their plans. He had sent 90% of the God Dogs' members to capture her
