The night air was cool as Daniel Park approached Big Deal Street with his second body, his footsteps echoing softly against the concrete. His outfit was unrecognizable from his typical style; he wore a sleek, dark bodysuit under a black leather jacket, and over his face, a mask adorned with a single bold question mark obscured his features. This disguise was known only as "Unknown," an identity he had adopted for missions like this, ones where he needed to remain incognito while sending a powerful message.
As he entered the heart of Big Deal's territory, Daniel could sense the tension in the air. The street was lined with gang members, loitering around or keeping a watchful eye on the area. They didn't recognize him at first, but as Daniel walked further into their territory, their suspicions grew.
"Hey, who the hell are you?" one of the men called out, taking a step toward him.
Daniel didn't bother to reply. He wasn't here for conversation. In one swift motion, he closed the distance and delivered a devastating punch to the man's solar plexus, sending him crumpling to the ground. The sound of the impact echoed down the street, immediately drawing the attention of the surrounding gang members.
"Who does this guy think he is?" one of them shouted, rallying the others.
Within seconds, Daniel was surrounded by a small crowd of Big Deal members. He didn't flinch. Instead, he straightened his posture and cracked his knuckles, his expression hidden behind the enigmatic mask.
"Come at me," he said in a low, calm voice.
The first wave of attackers rushed in. Daniel's movements were swift and precise, effortlessly dodging punches and kicks as he countered with devastating blows. His fighting style was fluid, blending elements of all the techniques he saw. He struck with the precision of a sniper, targeting pressure points and vulnerable areas, leaving his opponents writhing in pain or unconscious in seconds.
Among the first group to fall was a fighter known as Brad. He swung a heavy fist toward Daniel's face, but Daniel slipped past the punch, driving a knee into Brad's ribs, lifting him off the ground before sending him crashing onto the pavement. Limeman charged next, attempting a powerful tackle, but Daniel sidestepped at the last second, slamming an elbow into the back of Limeman's neck and sending him sprawling.
The noise and commotion began to draw even more attention, and soon, more prominent figures of Big Deal emerged from the shadows. Jerry Kwon and Jason Yoon, had been in the middle of a conversation when they noticed the disturbance, their expressions turning serious when they saw the masked figure taking out their men with ease.
"Who is that guy?" Jason muttered, already stepping forward with an aggressive expression.
"Doesn't matter," Jerry said, cracking his knuckles. "He's about to learn what happens when you mess with Big Deal."
As the duo approached, Daniel's gaze shifted to them. He recognized their faces, but they had no idea who he was behind the mask. He remained silent as he prepared for the real fight to begin.
Jason Yoon made the first move, charging in with a flurry of punches. Daniel evaded the strikes with ease, his body moving like water, before countering with a powerful roundhouse kick to Jason's side. The impact was so intense that it sent him flying back several feet, crashing into a pile of crates.
Jerry Kwon was next. He was the largest of the group, towering over Daniel with his massive frame. With a deep growl, he lunged at Daniel with a bear-like swipe, aiming to grab him. But Daniel was quicker, ducking under the grab and delivering a crushing uppercut to Jerry's jaw. The blow staggered the big man, but he wasn't finished yet.
"You're pretty strong," Jerry grunted, rubbing his jaw. "But let's see if you can handle this!"
Jerry charged again, this time throwing a barrage of punches. Daniel blocked and dodged effortlessly, waiting for the right moment. As Jerry threw a wide haymaker, Daniel slipped inside his reach and delivered a rapid series of body blows, each one finding a soft spot in Jerry's muscular frame. He ended the combo with a leaping knee to Jerry's chin, sending him sprawling to the ground.
As Jerry struggled to get up, a familiar voice echoed across the street. "What the hell is going on here?"
Jake Kim stepped forward, having returned to Big Deal Street after serving a short sentence in prison. He wore a simple black jacket over a white T-shirt, his hair slightly unkempt but his gaze as sharp as ever. His expression was a mixture of surprise and anger as he took in the scene of his beaten comrades and the masked figure standing tall in the center.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Jake asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and irritation.
Daniel tilted his head slightly, his mask hiding any emotion. "You're the leader of Big Deal, aren't you?" he said in a calm voice. "I came here to talk."
"Talk?" Jake scoffed. "You've got a funny way of starting a conversation. You've beaten down half my guys."
Daniel shrugged, taking a step closer. "They got in the way." His voice grew colder as he continued, "I'm here because I have information about Sinu Han."
Jake's expression shifted at the mention of Sinu's name, a flicker of concern appearing in his eyes. "What do you know about Sinu?" he demanded.
Daniel took his time with his response, letting the tension build. "He's alive," he said finally. "But he's not himself. The Workers have him in their grasp, and they're using him in the Second Affiliate. He's being manipulated."
Jerry, who had managed to get back on his feet, barked a laugh. "You expect us to believe that? That Sinu is some kind of puppet now?"
Daniel's gaze flicked to Jerry. "You're free to doubt me," he replied, his voice steady. "But if you want to see him again, you'll listen. Sinu's being controlled, and if you don't act soon, you may lose him for good."
Jake clenched his fists, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Daniel. "Why should we believe anything you say?"
Without answering, Daniel took a step back, and in an instant, he launched himself at Jerry. The sudden burst of speed caught Jerry off guard, and Daniel's fist collided with his abdomen like a sledgehammer, doubling him over. Jerry tried to counterattack, but Daniel struck again, this time landing a brutal kick to the side of his head, sending him crashing to the ground once more.
Jake's eyes widened slightly as he watched Jerry fall, and he realized that this masked stranger wasn't just any fighter, he was on another level entirely.
"Alright, stop!" Jake yelled, holding up his hand. "We'll go see. We'll find out the truth. But if you're lying…"
Daniel cut him off. "I don't lie." He turned on his heel, walking away as if nothing had happened. "Train more," he called out without looking back. "You're too weak to make changes."
Jake gritted his teeth, the frustration evident on his face. As Daniel disappeared into the shadows, he could feel a knot of uncertainty forming in his chest. If what the masked figure said was true, then Sinu was in danger. And if it wasn't, then they had just been humiliated by a complete stranger.
Either way, Big Deal would not let this matter rest.
