Stupefied by terror, her eyes darted everywhere but never in the godfather's direction. The ringing in her ear began to subside but she still couldn't hear clearly, Luna shut her eyes tightly and pulled her legs to her chest as her trembling arms wrapped around her knees.
When her hearing became clearer by the minute she heard droplets tinkle as they touched the floor in the dead silent room, without raising her head she said an inaudible prayer that they were all okay especially Nate because the godfather seemed angry at him.
